Any obstacle can be overcome. It's all about attitude and never, ever, giving up.
Hesse left big city life to pursue a career in forestry that lasted for more than a decade and was one of the first women to ever be hired on a helitack crew, but when an outhouse became a luxury item, she knew it was time to move on.
She grew up a back stage brat in Music Hall Theater. Laura discovered that she was a lousy tap dancer, but a pretty good soprano and still likes to sing at local jams and has been a back up vocalist on a couple of albums.
While Laura still has a passion for horses, her beloved Fjord mare, Pumpkin Sally, has now passed over the rainbow, but her spirit lives on in the pages of Hesse's Holiday Series.
