Chris Beckett's short stories have been appearing in print in Britain and the US since 1990, and his short story collection, The Turing Test, won the Edge Hill Short Fiction Award in 2009, a rare instance of a science fiction book winning a non-genre literary award. He has published five novels to date, his third novel, Dark Eden winning the Arthur C Clarke award in 2012. Forthcoming books are America City, his sixth novel, to be published in the UK in Nov 2017, and Spring Tide, his third short story collection (and his first published fiction to step away from the SF genre), which will come out in the UK in January, 2018.
