Linda Davies worked as an investment banker in New York, London and Eastern Europe (just after the wall came down) before escaping to write the international bestseller NEST OF VIPERS. Nest of Vipers had been optioned for movies three times and has just been optioned for a TV series by Athom Entertainment. Linda has written multiple books since, Financial Thrillers and thrillers for children. She spent three years living in Peru and eight years living in the Middle East. In 2005 she and her husband were kidnapped at sea by Iranian government forces and held hostage in Iran for two weeks before being released. She has written about her experiences in her first non-fiction book, Hostage, just published. Her latest novel Ark Storm is described by former US Secretary of Defense, William Cohen as "Science, sex, murder, meteorology, venture capital predators poised to make millions while manipulating the weather, and a zillionaire jihadist bent on vengeance--all are stirred up and served in this stunning novel that will shock and awe you. A brilliantly crafted eco-thriller filled with characters who are authentically good--and bad."
September 2015 saw the publication of her middle grade novel, Longbowgirl, a time slip adventure set in the wilds of Wales, in our time and that of King Henry V111. Chicken House is the UK publisher and in the US, Scholastic Press published Longbowgirl in Spring 2016. Longbow Girl has just been optioned for TV by Kindle Entertainment.
Linda loves walking with her two Rhodesian Ridgebacks dogs while dreaming up her latest plot. She now lives with her family near the sea, where she swims, but chooses not to sail.
