Bought a couple of these roughly a year and a half ago, I held off because I wanted to see how they would hold up before reviewing.
They have held up well, though this controller could do with an upgraded version. If you're familiar with the SNES/Super Famicom controller iBuffalo do, this one doesn't quite live up to it. The SNES/SFC one looks and feels great in aspect, the buttons have a nice bit of feedback to them and the decoration is spot on. The look and feel of this is slightly less so and the decoration is in the form of a sticker (I've heard the original is a thin sheet of metal but I'm sure they could have at the very least used a thin piece of acrylic with a brassy/bronzy effect). The buttons have very little resistance to them which gave me a lot of doubts as to how well it would hold up. Speaking of buttons there's extra buttons to make this like a SNES controller. Not in the ideal layout but would make this good enough for the few games on the SNES that support 4 players if you don't want to buy 4 SNES controllers, the shoulder buttons are awkward as they are integrated with the bevel around the edge and seem to be a little bit recessed. good enough for hotkeys in RetroArch but probably wouldn't want to play many games that would rely on them.
Bottom line, it's good enough, if iBuffalo do an upgraded version of these to the standard of their SNES/Super Famicom controllers with nicer feedback and proper shoulder buttons that would be killer rather than just a passing grade.
