La Sciantosa

During the Great War, Flora (Academy Award Winner Anna Magnani), received the offer to sing for the soldiers. On her arrival she is welcomed by the young fighters but, when she gets on the stage and realizes that her audience is made of young mutilated people, she is assaulted by indignation. She tears off the Tricolor and intones 'O surdato nnammurato' by Califano. But the show suddenly stops.
