This was a horrible film. I enjoyed it. There were twists and turns in the story that kept coming back to bite us the audience. It was well written, brilliantly acted and badly filmed but that's not as bad as it sounds. It worked and that's what matters. There are places where it goes far too slow but do keep watching. Unless you're of a nervous disposition, you'll be glad you did. A friend of mine had a day just like Jodie's. I'm still very sad about that.
In the hands of others this could have been an infuriatingly, pretentious pile of tripe. It isn't. The lead actor is just superb; the directing and camera work compliment her work perfectly (and visa versa) and the whole thing jells together beautifully to create something quite special. It ain't no easy watch; but well worth the effort.
Well written and executed and somewhat disturbing, The talking to the audience really makes you feel part of it and Katie Richmond proves she was the perfect actress for the job. Parts were a little long winded but I advise you to stick with it and you wont be disappointed Shows a side that we all have whether we want to admit it or not.
I really enjoyed watching this. It's funny to sad, from happy to tragic! This indie film, creatively put together by this writer and director Si Wall, is wonderfully arty arranged. and I was captured from the start with the story. The actress showed so many different facets of the singular character in this film and delivered a stella performance. She takes us into what appeared to be a mindless rebellion, but underneath it all, showed something much darker. I recommend watching this. There's swearing in it, but that really is just an outer layer to a much deeper level of meaning in this film. Nice one and I love the poster!!!!
