LIKES:

1) The characterisation is excellent.
2) Some good comic moments.
3) Great locations.

DISLIKES:

1) Unidirectional and predictable plot.
2) Unrealistic portrayal of gruesome events.
3) Lack of intelligence (despite being portrayed as intelligent) in main character's actions.
4) Inconsistencies in reality with plot (watch the swimming pool scene).
5) General feeling of anti-climax.

OK so you can see my list of dislikes is longer than my likes. The film made my wife and myself laugh in several places. However, it became a little tedious from the middle of the film onwards. This was to do with the obvious departure from reality with many of the events. Of course, the digital generation force fed impossible situations through a diet of video games and mainstream media may be able to rationalise some of the scenarios. However, those of us who grew up with critical thinking and logic, will find the film funny, but will also laugh at the impossible and implausible situations.

I don't want to ruin it for other viewers, but the events around the swimming pool (and 5-10mins plot time after) show it must have been our Government writing the script. (Figure it out!) Considering that the film was made with £25k (note British film, British currency) it has great production values and it doesn't look cheaply made. The locations are lovely, probably many of us will be wishing we were still on holiday with the return to Autumn weather in the UK. The female character whilst not stunningly beautiful, has the latin look and sex appeal to engage young male audiences. There is good comic characterisation from the typical British yobs on holiday, to the aggrieved Australian and the main character, who is pathetically hooked by a girl who normally would be out of his league, had it not been for copious cash in the bank.

My recommendation is to watch the film, enjoy it, it will make you laugh, but don't expect any more than an easy watch.

It would be very easy to rip this indie film apart but there are plenty of great things that make it a rather good watch. An interesting story line (totally disagree with people who think "it's predictable") with loads of quirky, funny moments, from beginning to the very end. Not to mention a phenomenal camera and locations, great acting - specially from the girl and many interesting editing solutions. This film cannot compete with Ridley Scott movies but it is a good indie, exactly as it is. Well done everyone who made it almost by a cost of the credit card overdraft. If there is something I disliked is the constant music in the background. (I guess, the director and the rest of the crew learned loads by doing this film. And again, well done everyone!)

Billed as a black comedy and it was great. I enjoyed it very much. Hope the writer/director does more like this.

Loved this film. Great original music along with an original story and fabulous backdrop. Definitely worth a watch.

Cracking little film...

Slow, dull, predictable, unnecessary narration. Someone get bored on holiday and decide to make a film?

This was badly acted with a ridiculous script and story. Worth watching it’s so bad!!
