This film appeals on all levels. You can empathise with all the characters who are not overly complex, just your average Joe (or Caroline or Jen). Money worries, wasted life, sexual problems. We've all been there, done that, worn the t-shirt and thrown up over it.

It's going to be one to watch over and over again for the comedy, the great locations, the classic one liners and a cast we can all relate to. I hope it gets the recognition it deserves when it's time to hand out the gongs.

OMG, the trailers were funny enough, but the film, well worth watching. I won't tell you the story, but its based on the capers of four mid-life crisis men trying to recapture their long left behind youth....

Rarely have I enjoyed a movie so much. A truly great British comedy well up there with Withnail and I. A bonus was the beautiful cinematography which used the Lake District scenery to full effect. Strongly recommended.
Why was this film not shown in my local cinema? A real indictment on the state of the cinema in Britain.

Couldn't be simpler. Four old mates go on a pilgrimage. Gradually the bonhomie becomes strained and the facades fall. All at a walking pace so the comedy and tragedy can be fully savoured. 4 faces of everyman face the elements and infinity. You can keep your Star Wars

Delightful rumination on middle age. The characters verge on cliche but are nevertheless involving. The lesser know actors really pull it off injecting pathos and likeability into the unlikeliest scenario. I can't recommend this to anyone under 40 but if you are of the age you MUST see it.

It had me smiling on a couple of occasions. But if you were drawn to this film to give you an insight to the coast to coast then this is not the film for you. It is a bunch of middle aged men trying to relive some past youthful past glory. The swearing, in my opinion, was excessive and not needed to get across the plot.

My advice - give it a miss.

Wasn't sure what to expect when i bought this, i thought it might give me some insight into the coast to coast walk but it's much more than that. Its a simple Idea, four middle aged men decide to recreate a walk they did when they were in their early twenties but something happend to them all between then and now.....life! They all embark on the trip with a ton of problems and hilariously a ton of secrets which slowly (and sometimes accidentally) reveal themselves in an emotional roller-coaster of comedy and tragedy. The cinematography is beautiful, the soundtrack amazing, I loved this film!
