I'm a wrinkly Septo with eclectic interest in fact, fiction, humour, sci-fi and drama. Having been bewildered by the appeal of peuerile, poorly structured, ghost and conspiracy theory programmes; I was amazed at the tremendous effort that must have gone in to convincing the victim that they were in a real-time situation.
Behavioural psychology and splendid actors, along with convincing settings and special effects, made the tension build up and storyline so very believable.

Take an MTV prank show, cross with a Discovery channel documentary and a horror flick. Mixing a cocktail of these would, you'd think produce a bit of a party disaster However, in this case, it sort of works.

This was a surprisingly entertaining 20+ minutes of fact and fiction. Keeping it on the opposite side of to an MTV /hidden camera/prank type of teen show. It 's premise is based on supposed eye witness accounts and throwing in the occasional scientific person with their take on a hypothesis of a super sized mammal terrorising people, gave this a bit more gravitas and seriousness. Albeit with a glint in the eye of the "experts" .
The victim? Was the everyman who had a phobia of bats, so his loving cousin gets this set up to meet? Batzilla! Ahh family!
He was good value as the set ups did come across as pretty natural. Good performances from the actors/pranksters, throw in the fiendish sounding voiceover, editing and music throughout and the mix proved for a nice, fruity cocktail. No serious spirits needed. Right I'm off for a Bloody Mary!
