The Crimson Field is absolutely amazing series that gives an insight into what it was like to be a nurse/volunteer in World War I near the battlefront. It gives an insight into the injuries suffered by soldiers and how they were made to return to the front even if they were psychologically unwell. Furthermore, it also provides an insight into issues for women at the time such as abusive marriages. All in all a well made and lovely series that is well worth a watch.

Absolutely fantastic it was really great nice to see how the civilians slotted in to the war. War series usually show the soldiers their battles and the medics coming to the soldiers were as this series shows the unsung hero's doctors and nurse's doing their bit too pick up the pieces and put them back together again.
