Karl Pilkington is a genius. He is my favourite person in the public eye ( I would say celebrity, but I just don't see him as one, he's far more human than celebrities). At first I was a little dubious that he was doing a series without Gervais and Merchant and worried it wouldn't be that funny, but I can't tell you how pleased I was when just 5 minutes after watching the first episode when I discovered I was wrong. This is the funniest series with Pilkington in my view and if you even remotely enjoyed the Ricky Gervais Show or The Idiot Abroad series you will absolutely love this series and certainly would not be disappointed. I hope they make a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, even 40th series :)

Just watch the video to the left of the picture of the DVD and that is enough reason in itself to buy the DVD watched all but one episode on SKY so far and its my favourite thing he has done.

Karl Pilkington is a loveable boufoon and his reactions are priceless. One of the things that make him so hilarious is the fact I think we can all agree with him on some things the only diffrence being his thought process. This DVD is the perfect cure for those winter blues.

Very entertaining. includes 5, 1 hour long episodes consisting of: (not in order) Money and Vocation, Happiness, Kids, Death and Marriage. Great value for money, with 5 hours of TV, plus an interview extra about the series. Other things by Karl Pilkington: BOOKS: The world of Karl Pilkington, Karlology, The Moaning of life, Happy-slapped by a jellyfish: the words of Karl Pilkington, An idiot abroad: the Travel diaries, The further adventures of an Idiot abroad. DVD'S: An idiot abroad series 1, 2 and 3, Derek, The Ricky Gervais show. They to are great. Hope this review has helped potential people who want to by this DVD.

We enjoyed the moaning of life but did feel "An idiot abroad" was better. I think this I because in an idiot abroad he didn't get to choose the countries he visited usually they were countries least on his wish list. Having said that The moaning of Life was still very funny and enjoyable as typical to his character he had a lot to moan about of the countries visited. My favourite was with Warwick Davies who summed Karl up "it's like travelling with a spoilt child".

If you haven't had enough of Karl yet, this is good. However, if I was introducing a friend to him for the first time, I would pick something else... unless Ricky Gervais didn't appeal to that friend!

Fairly funny throughout, the scene with Karl fake mourning his not so dead dad is worth the price alone. He is definitely better on his own without gervais and co.

Just a small hint of acting up to the camera though and a couple of times i guessed his next move or line so tiny hints of scripted material creeping in.

Bought for my hubby (and me really) and still haven't managed to watch all of it. Karl Pilkington - we all know or have known someone like this, or at least I do. The fact that his glass is always half empty and moans about everything is just laughable in itself really. There are quite a few episodes in this DVD, but after watching about 4 or thereabouts, I gave up as I wanted to give him a slap. I will get around to watching the rest when there is nothing at all to watch on the telly
