There are some things that can come back stronger and better after a period of weakness or difficulty. The original fast and the furious was a great action/car movie. It flexed its muscles with Vin Diesel both literally and with a role that suited him down to the ground. Jordanna Brewster came onto every man's radar and the cars were the stars too. It was so good that a sequel seemed almost inevitable, but all 2 fast 2 furious proved was that Paul Walker couldn't fill Vin Diesel's boots. Tokyo drift picked up the story a little bit but it wasn't until fast and furious returned with the tag line new model: original parts that everyone sat and up and took notice again. By then Diesel had given up his noble intentions and decided sequels weren't the worst thing that he could do and we were treated to a great return to form for both an actor and a movie franchise.

What Diesel has always needed in these movies was a nemesis. Enter Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson stage left, ripped beyond belief and barking a means business attitude. In fact, he is the perfect aggressor for Diesel and clearly relishes the role. The escalating tension between Johnson and Diesel explodes on screen and makes for one of the greatest, if over the top fights on film last year. Of course, Johnson as the cop is essentially a good guy just doing his job. Think of him as a hulk version of Walker in the original.

This film embodies everything that was great about the original. Diesel broods as protector and avenger. Brewster is sexier than ever. The selection of cars reads like a petrol head's wish list, the reunion is complete and Dom's charger even makes a return. Nothing has been left to chance.

This triple play version offers the extended cut which shows Johnson as a bit more of a bad-ass and is well worth it. The extras also make the grade as does the film in general. Looking forward to the next instalment, which promises much more of the same.

My hopes were not high. To be honest if it hadn't been for work I really wouldn't have gone. And what was I expecting? Well it's a sequel for a start off and a part 5 at that OMG! There would be action scenes edited together so fast they made no sence (Quantum of Solace is a perfect example), the the music would be so loud and the camera work so jerky and horrible I'd get a headache, there would be murky dull photography.... oh there's so much wrong with this genre of films today. But F5 proved me wrong! The action scenes, so well put together with clarity and skill, had me on the edge of my seat throughout (would the makes of the next Bond please take note), the photography was colourful and bright, the locations interesting and ideal, the story(as mad as a bag of cats) was great fun. The performances were so much fun... Had I been 5 (instead of 40 something)it would have been the best film I'd ever seen. Best of all it wasn't in the dreaded 3D!!!!! Unlike most of the films I've seen so far this year I actually really enjoyed myself with F5 (Pirates of the Caribbean sent me to sleep).

When mixed together, its seems petrol and diesel make and explosive combination. Add a little Rio and a dash of Rock to the mix things really go off!

Fast and furious 5 explodes onto the screen in exactly the same way as all its predecessor - with an incredible set piece, and from there the whole film goes into overdrive.

This has to be, by far, the best of all the Fast & Furious films so far: The story was tight, the action fast paced and the stunts and set pieces absolutely mindblowingly breathtaking!

Film 5 brings all the key characters back from the previous films (yes, even Ludacris, the cool guy from Tokyo Drift and the really annoying Tyrese from FF2) and adds a special forces type character into the mix too, in the shape of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. The result, a heist film set in beautiful Rio, which brings the franchise full circle and sticks it in top gear, creating a colourful, adrenalin fuelled action flick which leaves other films eating its dust.

The stunts were truly Incredible and it ends set up nicely for film number 6 in the franchise... And if number 5 is anything to go by, I can't wait for the team behind these films to get the wheels rolling. This was awesome. Buy it, buckle up, and then enjoy the ride!!!

By far the best Fast and Furious film they've made!! All the usual characters made a return and some more besides with the inclusion of Dwayne Johnson who plays the part of a FBI Special ops guy really well!! The film is set in Brazil and features some great scenery, awesome cars...added to this there is a great soundtrack throughout the movie and the jokes and chit chat throughout the film work well. They obviously worked hard on a believable script! having said that some parts of the film are ridiculous yet fun and full of action. Vin Diesel takes on the role of Dom once again and plays the part well.

Lots of Action, Lots of Cars, Lots of Guns, Lots of Women (forgive me i'm a guy), Great story line, awesome soundtrack...this has to be one of the best films of 2011!!! Added to all this it's at a great price!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

** MINOR PLOT SYNOPSIS (MINUS ENDING)**

Vin Diesel is busted out of prison and is reunited with his sister Jordana Brewster (who I fell in love with in D.E.B.S.) and her bf Paul Walker in Rio, the most recognized skyline in the world. They are bad guys stealing cars off a train. As things turned out, these were cars seized by the Brazilian DEA, who for some reason unlike their American counterparts don't disable the vehicles. Due to infighting, the effort is partially botched and Vin Diesel and Walker end up as captives of a Rio mobster. They discover he wants one of the cars back real bad. After they escape they dismantle the car to find out way.

Meanwhile Dwayne Johnson comes down from the US to take back Vin Diesel. It seems the US has jurisdiction in Brazil, but hey its a movie. From a chip in the vehicle, Vin Diesel discovers that the crime boss has money stored in various cash houses throughout the city. Walker and Vin Diesel assemble a Mission Impossible team to go after the cash. They attack the first cash house and burn the money which forces the mobster to relocate all his eggs into one basket. As it turns out, that basket is inside the evidence safe at the police station, making the task of that one last hit a bit more difficult. At this point the movie takes a few interesting twists and turns.

The plot contains numerous implausibilities as does most Mission Impossible action movies, vehicles that can bust through concrete walls (that never use rebar), and don't even scratch the head lights. The ending will keep Myth Busters busy for a season.
