I have read the reviews left for this show and although i never really review things myself i feel i must interject. I have just finished watching season 3 of the show that in my opinion has gone from strength to strength.

I think that it is unfair to say the humour is 'slapstick' and that the lead female wonders around with her mouth perminantly agasp with shock as this is simply not the case. The characters of Myka and Pete have developed nicely over the past 3 seasons and share an on screen chemistry that is unlike any i have seen for a long time. The humour (especially from Pete) is well thought out and executed, the story lines are well written and the ending has left me drooling for season 4.

Ok, admittedly this show is unlikly to be considered one of the greats like 24 or Prison Break but then thats probably because this show is nothing like 24 or prison break, it is unique, there hasn't been anything else like it and thats what i love the most about it but it won't be everyone's cup of tea.

If I was to take any issue with this show it is that it simply isn't long enough. 13 Episodes needs more!

I've watched this series develop over the last 3 seasons and feel it has gone from strength to strength
It isn't ground breaking drama but it is good fun and doesn't take itself too seriously
Love all the chameo appearances of various Star Trek cast members and I like the way it interweaves stories (eg including the 1960's agents again in this series)
I enjoyed HG Well's romp in victorian times and I think this "Steam Punk" version of the Warehouse shows what Torchwood should have been like!!
All in all a nice way to pass a few winter hours

This DVD set contains all of season three episodes, including the Christmas episode from Season 3, which was not included in the U.S. (Region 1) version. You do need to use a Region-free player (either hardware or software) to watch these, if you are not in Great Britain, but that was no problem. Quality is excellent, as expected, since these are produced by the studio.

If you don't own Season 3 yet, I would highly recommend that you purchase this set, rather than the Region 1, so you can get the Christmas episode. Most people who seriously collect DVDs usually have a region-free DVD player anyway and if you don't, you can purchase one quite cheaply. Bing it.

Ok well first of all, THANK YOU!!! Last season every 'make over' of Myka was completely underwhelming. This time however wow! She looks like a different woman! Fabulous straightened hair, subtle make up, nice dress sense (unlike the previous unflattering too tight tops). So that was a good start for me. Now onto the important stuff. I really enjoyed this season! The shocker that made me cry. Lots of laughs. Even more fun! The only downside for me was the one episode in the past of HG Wells and the Rocket. I actually found that one rather boring. Other than that a really nice box set and now that I am onto season 4 i am already a little sad it will soon be over.
Warehouse 13 is not in the same class as Fringe. But it is a definite easy watch and a lot of fun!

Series 3 bursts onto the screen like an unrepentant prodigal child with Claudia playing Jimi Hendrix’s guitar and the puzzle of a cursed Shakespearean folio.

The plots are still as joyously contrived as ever and the cast seem very comfortable with each other. Pete Lattimer is on top form from the start – wise cracking, brash and vulnerable. Although we know Pete is a softie with a troubled past, his encounter with his ex-wife played by Star Trek’s liberated Borg actor Jeri Ryan was touching & endearing as was the examination of his reaction to Myka’s abrupt departure in the previous series. New team member Steve Jinks fits effortlessly into the Warehouse team, providing further opportunities for humorous interactions. Arti’s relationship with former bionic woman Lindsay Wagner’s Dr Calder is a welcome contrast to Claudia’s Tigger type personality – bubbly, bouncing, effervescent and bursting with energy. The appearance of Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek Voyager’s Captain Janeway) provides further opportunities for plot development.

Warehouse 13 continues to reference previous SF classics and episode six sees Pete and Claudia enter a fantasy video game which nods to David Cronenberg’s brilliant 1999 film eXistenZ. However, the reappearance of H G Wells forebodes darker times. Later episodes see the Regents take a more central role in the narrative and the tone is not so upbeat. Tagged at the end of the series is the extra bonus episode 'Secret Santa', where the levity of previous times is reprised with more than a nod to Frank Capra’s ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’.

If you have seen, and liked, the previous 2 seasons, then you'll love this one, which takes it up a notch. Its one of those, where you get to the end of one episode, and find you have to start watching the next, just to see what happens next.....Its a romp from start to finish.
If you haven't seen the previous 2 seasons, then best to get them first.....Highly enjoyable....

I enjoyed the old characters, except for the fact that Joanne Kelly looks so different, that I had to check to be sure they hadn't substituted the actress. I didn't really think that they developed the new characters much, perhaps it because 13. episodes wasn't enough time, I'm pleased to see that series four has 20 episodes.
I nearly missed one episode because it was hidden in the bonus tracks, so check those out too.
