This is a really impressive Weather (WX) instrument that took only a few minutes to insert batteries in to the sensor unit and accompanying display monitor before it sync’d itself to the monitor and started taking readings immediately.
I then plugged in the supplied 5v Adapter for mains connectivity. Then using a couple of apps, added my Station ID so that the data would upload to my weather feeding site, which started receiving data immediately.
The appearance of the sensors is nicely laid out and the readability of the display monitor is really clear, with three brightness settings: High, Low and Off. Ease of use looking and using the display monitor buttons is the soft-touch feel. No hard pressing buttons and reading the data on the downloaded app is nicely laid out.
My main reason for buying this WX Station, is because it includes the UV and Solar Sensors. Whereas, my other WX Station only has the five main sensors, in which I can now cross reference for accuracy.
As you can see in my photo, I have put bird spikes around the outer wall of the rain gauge, this is to stop pigeons landing on it (hopefully) and leaving me little presents inside the rain collector.
A really impressive instrument that I would recommend, for its ease of use and connectivity.
