I wanted to stabilise my Horn Hobby Chair because although I love every other feature of this chair, I wanted it to not move. These do the job. A bonus is that these glide on my low pile carpet tiles when my weight is not on the chair making it easy to move it when I am not sitting on it. The reason I bought these might be a bit odd but I needed something to stop my chair rolling around when sim racing. I recently purchased a new pedal set (CSL but not loadcel though) but due to the relative stiffness of the brake pedal instead of braking I found myself rolling backwards in the chair.

These bad boys arrived quickly and look just like on the pictures. I had no issues swapping the wheels of my average mid-back gaming chair with these. I use them without the additional parts on carpet but even like that they stopped my chair rolling backwards completely. In fact there is no movement whatsoever, now if I want to move the chair I need to lift it.

The only thing people in similar situation need to be aware of is the height of these sliders. My wheels were around 55mm high while these are somewhere around 37mm. This means I got much lower to the ground. Thankfully the piston at the bottom of my chair was not that long so it didn't cause any issues but this can be a problem for some.

All in all I can recommend this to fellow simracers on a budget with an entry level pedal set.

First do NOT get if you have EU made chairs (such as IKEA) as they need a smaller 10x22 fitting these are for 11mm fitting. that said do the job and allow use on carpets where castors are a hinderance..

I replaced the wheels on my office chair with these static feet because on bare wooden floors the chair raced away at the slightest touch and on a thicker rug they stuck and caused the rug to wrinkle up and cause a potential slip hazard. So chair is static now and swivel chair means it’s easy to get out of still.

I bought these chair 'glides' to replace the wheels on my drafting chair. I have a tall drafting chair for my drawing table in my art studio. The studio has a laminated 'hardwood' floor. The drafting chair rolls so easily on that smooth, hard surface that getting in the chair was a struggle. I found that I had to hang on to the drafting table to keep the chair from rolling away from me as I sat down. After years of putting up with this, I finally wondered if there was a way to replace the wheels with something that wouldn't roll. These glides were perfect. The glides come in a few different heights. Check the height of the wheels on your existing chair before ordering the glides so that you end up with the same height on your chair. (Since most office chairs have adjustable height adjustments, this would not be an issue in most cases anyway.)
The process of removing the existing wheels and installing the new glides took only a minute or two and was done entirely by hand. The existing and replacement chair leg bottoms are a press fit. They pull free and click into place with no tools needed. If you feel that it's a little to difficult for you, a screwdriver used as a 'pry' tool for removal and a small hammer for a tap to get the new glide to snap into place could be used. (A rubber mallet would be perfect, if you have one.)
I took one star off of "maneuverability" rating only because the glides don't glide quite as easily as I expected even with the additional pads that are provided installed. In fairness, my drafting chair is heavier than a standard desk chair. Also I was trying to stop my chair from rolling so easily, and the glides accomplished that. I feel a little guilty for penalizing the glides for doing what I wanted! However, I do think it is worth noting that the pads do not slide as smoothly as those I have put on other chairs before. It's not a big deal. Overall, these glides are a very good buy!

Usandola principalmente per giocare al pc, come ogni gamer ho delle posizioni "strane" e non essendo le ruote autobloccanti (anche per il fatto che peso 62kg) mi ritrovavo che la sedia pattinava distante dalla postazione durante il gioco. Con questi piedini ho risolto alla grande, sono belli, stabili e con i feltrini permettono di spostare la sedia senza troppi sforzi anche senza le ruote.

Impossible pour moi de retirer la moindre étoile à ce produit, il est exactement ce qu'il prétend être. Faute de ma part cependant, il faut savoir que les chaises Herman Miller demandent un dégage très haut sur les roulettes parce que le tube de gaz central descend très bas (déjà proche du sol quand les roues d'origines sont installées). Or, ces pieds fixes, bien que d'une grande qualité, sont deux fois moins hauts que les roues, et donc le tube central repose au sol, ce qui rend évidemment la chaise inutilisable.

Très bon produit sur les chaises standard (type But, Confo, Ikea, ...) cependant.

Ich find die Gleiter echt super! Ich wohne in einem Altbau, bei dem die Böden leider etwas schräg sind und mein Bürostuhl gerne durch den halben Raum rollt, sobald ich mich setze. Diese Gleiter passen perfekt in die Füße und die Filzgleiter verhindern das zerkratzen des Holzbodens.
