I used this item to provide additional light under the X rail of my CNC machine. The light output is a claimed 500 lumens and I see no reason to doubt that claim. This bright warm colour temperature light (4000 Kelvin) gives a good spread of light onto the workpieces being machined. Another useful addition to the simple touch control system is the magnetic mount. This permits the light to be directed perpendicular to the baseboard of the machine or it is infinitely variable for an angle of 45° in front and back directions (encompassing a range or adjustment covering 90°). The light is mounted magnetically on a mount that is attached to my machine by double sided tape. When I want to recharge the Lithium ion battery, I can remove the light and plug in the supplied micro USB lead in a convenient part of my home.

I can recommend this product for the use to which I have put it. It permits me to put light under the cutter and direct it onto the workpiece. Any mains solution would have required plumbing in the wires and ensuring they did not get trapped with the movement of the X rail or the Z carriage. This device sits happily on a 50mm wide rail and it permits the V wheels to traverse without impinging on them. Realistically, you will need around 40mm of width to apply the double sided tape of the sticky mount. A spare shaped sticky tape mount is supplied and a micro USB lead is also supplied. I consider this a good value product.
