Product Description

In Greek mythology, virgin Hestia, is the goddess of hearth, of the right ordering of domesticity and the family.  Since 2008, the first launch of our video baby monitor, Hestia products were carefully designed for simple usage and reliable quality which act as a true helper of your nursery.

 



Adopted the latest FHSS technology, Hestia H102 is a simple plug and play baby monitor which does not require any network setup.  The data is transmitted at its own proprietary protocol to ensure 100% privacy. 

The monitor unit is equipped with a 2.4 inch LCD to provide smooth video feed, and a high power speaker to deliver crystal clear audio quality.  It is powered by a rechargeable battery that allows hours of portable usage. To extend the duration, its VOX function with 3 sensitivity settings is the best option to conserve battery power. 

Packed with features such as 2 way talk, lullabies, auto mute, video off, alerts toggle on/off, split screen, auto scan, zoom and more.  All of them can be easily configured by a well organized user interface system. 
 



The CMOS of camera unit captures image at a view angle of 62 degree, and produces a detailed, full-colored image at daylight mode. Together with 8 invisible IR (Infrared) LEDs, it produces night vision image with high clarity even in total darkness. 

The high sensitivity microphone collects all sound around the camera unit and amplifies the human voice, so you can hear the slightest noise made from your loved one. 

​The pivot joint mechanism at the camera stand offers highest flexibility to adjust to different capturing angle.  The camera stand can be either placed on flat surface or wall mounted. If it is not enough, both monitor and camera adopts an interchangeable back mounting system, so you can use different back mount components which suit your needs

I love this little gadget. Great for keeping an eye on my little one. I had to wait to be able to buy this baby monitor as it was out of stock! It’s a popular camera I must say, and no doubt why! It arrived faster than anticipated. It’s well packed and very easy to set up. I stuck the camera on the wall with the provided adhesive strip (a couple of weeks so far and it’s still in place), adjusted the angle, and plugged the monitor to charge. It takes part of the day to fully charge it so do that as soon you receive it in order to be able to use it in the evening the same day!
I love the details like the silicon side sleeve, the clip on the monitor so you can carry it hanging on your trousers or belt, also on the clip there’s a small flap that lets it stand on its own on the table! The screen is in a good size, the image both in daylight and darkness mode are very clear. Very important for us is also the sound, it’s crystal clear and I can even hear him doing little sounds in his sleep. Before we bought this camera I bought another one through here amazon that was WiFi connected, it was small and cute yet you couldn’t hear a thing and the image came always with delay. Since this one is not WiFi connected it’s reliable and (in my opinion) safer, with no image delays nor sound disruption. The camera has a very small blue light that activates when it’s on, but the light is not too bright, more on the faint side, you barely notice it in the dark. So so far so good! The only downside we find is that the monitor doesn’t have a long battery life, one full charge lasts about 6-7h. We don’t know how long do the other monitor last so we cannot compare hence no reduction of stars. We are very pleased with this monitor and camera! I’ll update this review in few months again.

The unit worked absolutely fine when we first received it (and still does for the most part).
The picture is clear, the digital zoom function is very helpful, the microphone works well, and we haven’t had any signal issues at all.

The problem is the battery life.

Straight out the box, the battery life was about 1hour. Not that great, but workable.
Now, 4 months down the line, the battery life is non-existent. The unit turns off straight away after the power is removed.
Hopefully i’ve got a dodgey battery, and a replacement would fix, or maybe that’s just what I should expect from a baby monitor of this price...

UPDATE: They’re sending a new battery, very helpful customer service. So let’s see how this one goes...

UPDATE (again): Received new battery. So much better! Must have been a dud.
We can now go an evening on battery alone.
Pretty happy with the unit now.
Updated star rating to 4 (from my original 2).
Pretty darn good for the price.

This monitor is super easy to use. There was no set up, just plug it in and its ready to go. The camera is pretty good, and the interface easy to navigate. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced video monitor. The rubber bumper round the edge is great too - I'm clumsy so its protected if I drop it! I also like the fact that you can pair more than one camera with it, so down the line I've got the potential to watch more than one child.

UPDATE: I've now had this monitor for 10 months and its died a slow death. The battery is slowly gotten more and more useless every month, until for the last couple of weeks its been unusable without being plugged in. It now doesn't stay on for more than a minute. Complete waste of money. No wonder it is "currently unavailable" to buy.
