If there is no network link, please check that if your POE switch has a separate port setting, and set it at 'manually'.
Some switchs wouldn't provide network signal when the automatic speed negotiation was turned on for that specific port in the switch. After manually setting the ethernet port that the POE splitter was connected to 100M it will be working.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 October 2022After upgrading my home CCTV, I had a couple of older ONVIF cameras kicking around and wanted to use them however had no power one of the locations. Done some research and found this little gem. Run a Cat 5e cable from my PoE switch and managed to get the basic webcam powered in the middle of nowhere. Had worked flawlessly and it's been installed over 1yr!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 March 2024Bought a number of these to reduce the number of PSUs around a TV. Use it for a Firestick run from a Ubiquity POE Switch. Also use them on Raspberry Pis running Nodered and Home Assistant. Very useful for Nodered as there is no way for reboot it without unplugging it but Unifi can power cycle its POE so saves having to going into the cupboard which is difficult. For the Firestick is it great as I use the ethernet connection to get the best streaming possible so it doubles up to a very clean solution.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 May 2023I used this to power my Tado internet bridge, had seen this done in various forums, so thought would give it a try, and it done well, just plugged the ethernet cable in from a PoE switch, plugged the network cable in and the usb lead and the bridge powered up with no problems at all.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 August 2019Where there's a problem, there's a solution! This is it! I wanted to power a dome CCTV camera without installing additional wiring, I already had a POE switch and cable in the position required...so having this adapter made my life so much easier!
Worked first time without any issues and is currently powered via the switch using 802.3AF POE.
Will purchase a few more now!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 July 2020I bought this to power a Raspberry Pi for use in my shed. I didn't want the hassle of installing a mains power connection so decide to pull a couple of ethernet cables in ducting along the garden fence instead.
This PoE splitter provides enough power for the pi + camera and doesn't require the ethernet cable to be attached to anything although if you had one of the larger models with an ethernet port (Pi 3 Pi 4 etc) you'd be able to make use of the instead of wifi.
Pros:
Compact
Doesn't need a PoE compatible device
Cons:
None so far.
I'm not sure what else to say except that it's working well so far but will update this review if I have any issues.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 February 2018Bought this to power a Raspberry Pi 3 and an infrared camera with illumination MakerHawk Raspberry Pi Camera Night Vision Camera Module 5MP OV5647 Webcam Adjustable Camera Video 1080p for Raspberry pi 2 Raspberry pi 3 Model B Model B+ that is (hopefully) going to sit in a kestrel nestbox on the side of our office building later this year. Been testing it in the office and it works fine powered from our normal Cisco PoE switches. Much neater than having a power brick, mains lead and network lead all to connect, and using PoE on a managed switch also gives the option of remote power cycling if something goes wrong with the Pi.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 May 2019I already had a PoE switch and several devices using Micro USB that were plugged in near the switch into wall sockets. This Active PoE splitter has allowed me to remove the wall plugs and use the spare ports on the PoE switch; so much neater and frees up power sockets for use by other things.
(You could also use these PoE splitters to power something far away from your PoE switch where you only have a network port and no access to a power socket!).

FedericoReviewed in Italy on 13 June 20225.0 out of 5 stars Funziona con Rasberry Pi3
Usato per alimentare un Rasberry Pi3 con iniettore PoE. Per ora funziona alla perfezione. Abbastanza compatto per l'installazione all'interno di un box esterno ignifugo. Consigliato
TalkativeReviewed in India on 22 October 20215.0 out of 5 stars Works well
It works very well and powered up my CCTV camera with 802.3af PoE easily. Recommended!
JPReviewed in the United States on 31 May 20205.0 out of 5 stars Works great with Amcrest Wifi camera
This is great. You go right from the ethernet port of your NVR into the back of this splitter. Plug in the RJ45 for your camera feed and the USB for your power and your good. I bought some older cameras that were not bus powered and they were hit and miss. This is the way to go.
Amazon CustomerReviewed in Canada on 8 October 20195.0 out of 5 stars Works well but not full duplex
Uses half the wires to carry power, which impairs full duplex communication, but should be fine for cameras which are mostly one-way. Careful with your wiring, a cross over would fry ethernet!

Andre JOLLYReviewed in France on 4 November 20205.0 out of 5 stars Produit efficace et fiable
