I have just received this Bluetooth speaker delivered as promised when ordered and to be honest I am quite surprised at the build quality and sound production of this this unit considering the price I have paid. I was expecting a flimsy item with maybe a rather plasticky appearance like other similarly described speakers I have experienced ....but I was wrong. The speaker is only small but it's robust aluminium finish and sleek appearance make this item look and feel as if it must have cost more than I paid. After my initial pleasure at the speaker's appearance even more importantly I am really pleased with it's excellent sound reproduction considering that this is a small and easily transported item. You could not obviously host a disco with it but it certainly boasts good quality sound reproduction for both music and speech situations. Sound distortion is not a problem even at higher volumes and the speaker provides a pretty accurate rendition of recorded music files etc. As with all similar speakers the better quality the recording the better the sound reproduction. The speaker paired with a variety of devices such as iPod, iPad and iPhone both easily and quickly and the operating distance is excellent. I have yet to experience how long a single charge lasts but I am confident that the quality of this item will prove itself in this area also. I am sure the extra functions such as recording ability and direct input will prove to be a bonus when used. I am very impressed by this item and would not hesitate to recommend it's purchase to anybody looking for a good quality, good looking and excellent value portable Bluetooth speaker.

For the price this is excellent. I researched a lot of Bose/Sonos etc systems and believe they would be excellent. But for my needs (music in the kitchen as cooking/baking) this ticks all the boxes. Discreet and good connectivity, it does struggle if you take the music source in the next room but that is not a big problem for me.

Compact, useful and easy to connect. Some bluetooth speakers let you either charge it or play - with this one you can do both together. The sound quality is good though I am no sound engineer. A usb charge cable, a cable that plugs into the speaker and a tablet, smartphone (it also has an integral microphone) or whatever and an instruction leaflet also came in the box. I didn't need the instructions to connect though found them useful for knowing what the flashing or continuous blue and red lights meant without working it out for myself. The cables work well, I have not used the microphone. The unit as supplied was already charged. The finish is smart and should last, I'd like to keep it that way so when traveling it'll be well wrapped or stowed in a padded case. No criticism of the finish here, more that it will last when looked after. Am happy that I bought this well thought out yet economical item as it does what I need - and a little more.

I have had this speaker for over a year now and it has never let me down there is no static, not sounds other than the music or video or whatever your playing is the only thing that comes out of it too. Admittedly I have dropped it a fair share of times and as far as I can find there is no scratches and it is definitely still working . The best part is that you can charge it with a android wire so it is pretty flexible with what wire you can use

Out of the box impression good, unit well finished and weighty, which I put down in part to a sensibly sized battery.
Slight problem with pairing it with the target device (a Kindle Fire) first attempt failed. To check it was working tried a different device (Tesco Hudl) which paired fine. Tried the Kindle Fire again and it paired instantly, no idea why there was a problem initially, BlueTooth tends either to work or to fail, not get itself in some indeterminate state. Switched everything off and then on again, no problems.
Tried playing some music and found device was at max volume - its very loud!
Turned it down to a more reasonable level and listened for about 30 minutes. For such a small device it performs excellently. Needed a small unit since its main use will be on holidays so size is important.
Nice touch is that the base is slightly 'sticky' rubber so it does not dance about on shiny surfaces.
Would probably give it five stars but have not had it long enough to put it through its paces, but very pleased so far

OK, so its not going to be up there in the high end category in terms of sound, but for what its worth, it's a fantastic product.

Surprising amount of sound from such a tiny piece of kit, it's clear, punchy - just the perfect balance of sound ranges for music on the go. Build quality is extremely robust, it looks and feels like a premium product. Nice weight to it, ergonomics are top notch. Especially handy for travel, enough sound to fill your average hotel room, good sound for connecting to you tablet or phone for either music or streaming video services, just good to have as an alternative to headphones. Means you can go about your business without the limitations / restriction of earphones, the device can also be used for voice calls.

Comes with a USB cable and headphone type jack, so you can charge & connect the old fashioned way if need be. The latter does also improve on battery life rather than relying on Bluetooth.

Minor gripes.... As mentioned, battery life can drain on Bluetooth, but you can squeeze more if you connect via cable. It does charge up relatively fast so its not too bad. The Bluetooth connector button is towards the bottom of the unit - just would have been handy on top for ease. Also, although the Bluetooth dis-connects after a period of inactivity, the unit remains powered (you need to physically switch it off at the base). Just would have been great for it to drop into some sort of standby/ sleep mode to save battery. Handy for when you fall asleep or leave the room and forget about it.

Overall, great value for money, very nice product.
