This is my first Kindle, and after reading many of the reviews I was concerned I may not have made the right choice. If, like me, you tend to read the negatives, let me just address some of the issues they brought up.
1. A reviewer mentioned that if you use a Virgin internet hub you cannot connect the Kindle. Wrong. I connected first time.
2. Many of the reviews (negative) say you can't read the screen in dull light. Wrong. It's cloudy and miserable here and I can see the screen perfectly. In fact, if I place my cardigan over the Kindle and myself I CAN STILL SEE THE SCREEN.
3. Touch screen over sensitive. Wrong. The touch screen is like any other. If users learned to keep their fingers out of the way then maybe they wouldn't keep flipping pages over when they don't need too.
4 The Kindle feels cheap. Yes, the casing is plastic, but it feels no different to my Acer Iconia android (except a whole lot lighter. :D )
5. On the cheaper version the ads are obtrusive. Adblock and Ublock on browsers have spoiled you haven't they? It is advertised this edition at £59.99 has offers. You bought it, your choice. There are no ads in the books, THAT IS WHAT'S IMPORTANT! And the ads are not in the way of anything.
Thank you Amazon for a delivery much sooner than expected. Thank you for a wonderful product. It's a crying shame people wish to bad mouth the Kindle when the it does what it says without any fuss.
