It's so refreshing to see Ben Stiller play a down to earth role. The character he plays, Walter Mitty, is so easy to relate to as I think most people feel that they have dreams they have yet to realise. In his adventures, Walter comes to understand that life really is about living, not dreaming. I think it's a beautiful message to hear, with plenty of subtle, smart humour and a heart-felt romance that warms the soul. I highly recommend any fiction lovers to watch this film.

This film makes me want to jump out my window and run to asia and climb a mountain. It's all about Walters development of the adventurer hidden beneath his painful and slightly depressed mask. He often daydreams and finds that the more exciting his life becomes the less he daydreams as he is living the dream in reality.
The story holds up on all fronts, while here and there it may seem a bit over the top it's far less so than most blockbuster hits out there. It really has the feel of an indie movie, it seems pure and fresh and makes me think about what I could do to live life to it's full potential.
Ben Stiller embodies the character really well and he does a great job of not explaining his emotions yet making them clear and understanding to the viewer. I was taken along on this journey with Walter in the film and that's best thing a film can ever do for it's audience.
The film, in it's most basic form, is showing all of us who sit in front of a screen all day that the world is out there, we don't have to daydream because these misty mountains and light-eradicating volcanoes are out there in the real world for us to see and this film is providing a mere glimpse to us of what we can do and when Walter finally meets Sean it shows how living life to it's fullest and enjoying the journey provides reward, whether in a specific task we wish to accomplish or just by feeling a sense of reward on knowing we have lived life in the best possible way.
So if your going to watch this movie make sure you pack a toothbrush and a passport because by the time the credits role you'll be on your way to the airport to climb a mountain or jump off a helicopter

This was a really good film starring and directed by Ben Stiller; who in my opinion is a very talented actor/director.

Mitty's transformation from an introverted dreamer to confident action man was believable as it was so subtly handled.

The locations were beautifully filmed and a joy to watch.

Wasn't sure what to expect as I have never been the biggest Ben Stiller fan, however I was very pleasantly suprised. This was a beautifully filmed and uplifting story. The development of his character was engaging but the scenery stole the show, there were some amazing settings in the film.

I love this film so much. It's funny, relatable, touching and has great acting. I watch it all the time and even put it in a movie night with my flatmates. Everyone can enjoy this film, its even ridiculous enough that children could watch it too. If you don't know whether to watch it, I completely recommend you do. Walter in this film is everyone who never got to live their dreams!

The poster and the description of the film make absolutely no justice to what a brilliant movie it is. It just gets better and better leaving you at the end with a wholesome feeling. Uplifting and funny, a film we will recommend!

Superb film. Beautifully photographed. Scripting and acting excellent. A superb mix of stunning visuals, wit, humour, pathos and love.
One of my all time favourite movies. Have now watched it 3 times and every bit as god after the third watch as the first. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Was bored and irritated by this film at first. Actually turned it off. Later went back to it and it slowly began to get interesting. The plot became more and more intriguing and awesome in the true sense of the word. By the end I was listening to the end credit music in a state of joyful peace. The film is about joining in with life and being fully present and aware, now.

If they had taken out the (unnecessary) talk of men in a particular state of being, wanting to go to an exotic club; I would have said this was a true PG/family film. But it's too slow for kids anyway.
