Its a decent movie for young dinosaur fans with plenty of different types of dinosaurs on the screen. My son likes the fact that "the dinosaurs talk". The life like appearance of the dinos is amazing.

Great family film & gives you knowledge as well, i am not sure who enjoyed it the most, you watch to the end, as it captivates you & you sort of need to see what happens next, its the perfect mix of education & entertainment in one, you learn the latin names for the dinosaurs as well as what they mean, and you or the kids don't realise, i may be a big kid at heart, but its good to watch & learn with the kids & enjoy it in the prosses, many thanks, martin

Pretty boring really. Turned it off after about 20 minutes and forgot about it so the 48 hr rental period was up by the time we remembered we had to finish it.
Good effect, realistic looking dinosaurs but uninteresting voice characters which are no more than voice overs for dinosaurs which don't speak.
What I mean by this is that the dinosaurs don't move their mouths, they are not trying to "speak" and so the voice over is to indicate what the dinosaur is thinking as opposed to what it is saying and I think it was this aspect of the movie that let it down.

This is one of my grandsons favourite films, he had it on DVD but it got damaged because he watched it so much. So having it on Amazon prime is brilliant. It's a great story with some true meaning and purpose and gives you a really got insight into how it might have been 70 million years ago. The main character Pache is really adorable . Great for all ages !!!!

Rented this thinking that it would be a bit like babe but set in a prehistoric background. Turns out it was a bit of a lame duck (or pterodactyl) to say the least. It didn't hold my attention, it didn't make me laugh and it just wasn't very entertaining.
It might have been a bit better if the mouths moved at the same time as the words but it just wasn't a great film...................sorry.

I love dinosaurs and any movie /documentary etc is music to my ears!
However, even though the cgi in the movie is stunning and it touches on the plight of a plucky young dinosaur, the story was just too kiddy for me.
I understand that it was going to be this way, so as to attract the younger audience to have an interest, but the choice of making them 'talk' is an annoyance for me. It was enjoyable to a point but for hardcore Dino fans like myself stunning cgi only goes so far.

Originally the dinosaurs where not going to speak at all and the film was going to be a silent, slightly less kid-oriented, animated documentary with narration. At the last minute the studio hastily hired actors to voice the dinosaurs after the animation had been rendered which is why the dinosaur's mouths don't move when they speak and when they do the lip synching is off. After the film was released it was panned by critics with the main criticism being the awkward voice-overs
