Excellent way to get ethernet via usb

I use this with a Linx 10 (Win 8.1) tablet.
Full installation (used Windows driver at first) required the software on the supplied cd, so (as the Linx 10 has no cd drive) I copied the contents of the disc to a usb and copied from the usb to the tablet before plugging in the hub.
The Install was quick and smooth and the device works exactly as I hoped meaning that when I want I can now connect my tablet to my network via ethernet.
Very happy with it's quality/ease of install/speed and the 5 year warranty is great to have should I ever need it.

Good quality for the price but lacks a power option

Its great as long as you want a non-powered hub. Not having power makes it unable to supply much power as the power put out by your computer is shared across the three available ports and the Ethernet hardware. I would like to have seen an optional power input to alleviate this as and when required but the trend appears to be to supply either a non-powered unit or a powered only unit that does not work without the power connected. Bearing in mind this limitation, this unit does the job as described and the quality is very good. It works perfectly with my Surface Pro 3.

It is a little larger than some others I have seen advertised but its also a little cheaper too. I have never heard of the manufacturer before but given the quality of the supplied unit, including its non-detachable USB 3.0 cable I have to say that I think it is pretty good value for money at the £16 discounted price that I paid for it. I doubt that I would have paid the original £25 standard price though purely on account of the physical dimensions.

Fast and Versatile!

I got the Easyacc SuperSpeed USB 3.0, 3 Port Hub to add 3 extra USB 3.0 ports to my desktop PC, which currently has 2 x USB 3.0 ports.

The Easyacc Hub came with a user manual and installation CD.
(it would of been nice to have a USB cable but these can picked up for cheap)

This product doesn't really need much installing, connecting it to my Windows 8 x64 Desktop PC was extremely simple - it was just a matter of plugging the hub into a USB 3.0 port on my PC and waiting a few seconds while windows installed the driver for the Ethernet port for me (I didn't even need the supplied installation CD).

Note! You can also plug the hub into a USB 2.0 port, but you will not benefit from the increased speed and power that USB 3.0 brings.

I plugged my Buffalo USB 3.0 MiniStation Slim HDD, into one of the ports on the hub and then ran a CrystalDisk Mark test on the hard disk to test the read and write speeds of the drive. The Sequential Read speed was 112.5 MB/s while the Sequential Write speed was 112.8, pretty much identical speeds as when connecting the HDD straight to the PCI-E to USB 3.0 card on my PC.

Although i haven't ran any sort of data throughput tests on the hub's included Gigabit ethernet port, I can confirm that Windows shows that the ethernet port connected at 1.0 Gbps and web browsing and streaming video was as smooth as my usual 1.0 Gbps ethernet connection.

The Easyacc SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Hub and Ethernet port, is a great little device - allowing you to easily expand the number of USB 3.0 ports available on your laptop or PC, while at the same time you get the added bonus of an extra Ethernet port.

Although the casing is made of plastic, the hub feels nice and solid and of very good quality.

This is a must have if your constantly switching peripherals and devices around or if you'd like to add a few USB 3.0 ports to your PC/laptop without having to install a PCI-E card

Works well, in the end.

The instructions state there is a drivers CD in the package, but I did not receive one. No harm really, the drivers are only needed for the Ethernet port and are available to download from www.easyacc.com.
I installed the drivers on two PC's, a Win 8.1 Tablet and a Win 7 Laptop - in both cases whilst the install appeared to work and the Ethernet connection "worked" to a point there was a problem with the network connection.
I reran the install on both machines and chose the "repair" option.
This solve the problems.
Apart from the minor problem with the driver install and lack of CD I have no hesitation in recommending this hub. I managed to resolve the driver problem myself without needing to contact the support team.
