3.7 out of 5 stars (29) IMDb 3.8/10

When Elle Woods' young, blonde cousins Annie and Izzy (Milly and Becky Rosso) moved from England to California, they thought their pink clothes, small dogs and street smarts would make them instantly fit in and feel at home. However, they find they are miles away from the uniform fashions and money-focused power structure of their new prep school.

I enjoyed the fluffiness of the two Legally Blonde films, so was definitely up for watching this third installment. I suspected that it might not be as good given it sneaked itself straight out onto DVD as opposed to being screened in cinemas. It also doesn't feature Reese Witherspoon. Regardless, I decided to give it a go.

Legally Blondes is the story of Elle Woods' cousins, Annie and Izzy Woods. Due to their father's job, the twins have to move from England to Los Angeles and are enrolled in a prep school. Unaware of just how snobby their fellow students are, the girls get in with the 'in' crowd. That is until the snobs discover the girls got in on scholarship and therefore decide they are no longer worthy of their friendship. Queen bitch Tiffany then puts together a plot to frame the girls for a crime and get them thrown out of the school for good. However, Tiffany hasn't bet on how close, or how smart, the twins are. Annie and Izzy are really put to the test as they use their legal skills to find enough evidence to clear their names and uncover the real culprits!

A mixture of Mean Girls, Clueless and the other two Legally Blonde films, this isn't particularly original. There are some parts which seem to have been lifted from the films I've just mentioned and put into this one. Those who have watched lots of chick-flicks will probably find even more similarities than I have. That's not to say it's a bad film, because it isn't. It just isn't great - mediocre at best. If you've seen the other two movies starring Reese Witherspoon it's worth giving this one a go, but it isn't a patch on the previous two and is nothing special in its own right. Just a pleasant way to spend an hour or so.

This movie is what you'd expect from the description. It's daft, and has the most painful "English" accents. As with Legally Blonde, most of the story is told by haircuts and accessories. If you disliked the first movies, skip it. If you liked the first movies, and have as low a standards as me then I recommend it fully.

I would not categorise it as good, so much as a guilty pleasure.

Any film where nice people win is good with me. Laugh out loud funny, memorable lines, the girls seem genuinely nice people and in this movie they need to learn to navigate past the manipulating, sly ways of a school "chum".

Legally Blondes was a belated attempt to milk the Legally Blonde franchise for one last time. It was released in 2009 as a made for dvd film rather than for cinema release. Unfortunately no Reese Witherspoon in this one - the nearest she got to it was as Producer.

There are attempts to link this film to the previous two Legally Blondes in various ways. The twins, Izzy and Annie, who star are Elle Wood's cousins who share her liking for pink, cute dogs etc. As a piece of trivia, one of the chihuahua's in this film is Bruiser who was also in the original Legally Blonde film. The twins are English and move to California to live in Elle's house with their widowed father. They attend a private school and get involved in cheating allegations in a school test and seek to clear Izzy's name.

Quite a light weight offering, clearly directed more at younger viewers than the previous two Legally Blonde films were. It probably works for this audience but adults may well find it disappointing. If you want this film the Legally Blonde Boxset [DVD], containing all three Legally Blonde films probably represents better value.

It's the third in the series, has very little to do with the first 2. It's pretty poor, but my 10yr old loved it.
So, there you go.
Oh yeah, it's dirt cheap :)

I love this film as it is a feel good film that has references to the Legally Blonde films as the twins in it are Elle Woods cousins. I would recommend this film to any Legally Blonde fan as it is as fun to watch. The high school aspect gives the film a younger feel and adds to the brilliance of the film.

Good chick flick but totally confused as to why they linked it to Legally Blonde. They should of had the films separate because this film is totally lacking Reese and isn't that what Legally Blonde is all about????
