My 3-star rating is generous, and it's only because of the last seven episodes, which were excellent. But what a waste of time most of the first eleven episodes were.

The season starts with a bang, with Max and Liz being arrested for holding up a convenience store, then fizzles out. For plot advancement the next ten episodes could perhaps have made two good ones. Michael gets a job as a security guard; Isabel gets married; Maria starts singing again -- yes, they're all important plot points, but not dragged out to such a length with nothing much else happening. Just before the season finally picks up we get, one after another, the obligatory slushy Max-and-sick-child Christmas episode, then the New Year (sorry, "New Year's") episode, then the "Bewitched" homage, which would have been a delightful treat if it hadn't immediately followed the previous two time-wasters.

But then Liz's fingers start crackling, and at last (IN EPISODE 12!) things start moving, and the last seven episodes are amongst the finest of the whole Roswell story. Such a shame that most of the first half was so weak.

As most of the Roswell die-hard fans will know it's a great shame that the series was axed after only 3 short years, because otherwise it could well have reached a 5th season this year. But in this 5-disc package you will be able to watch the finale 18 episodes!!! The acting is flawless, the writing and directing is a work of art, even the lighting can make you sad! It's so great to see such a great (but short-lived) show reach immortality on DVD! Make the right choice: buy it!!!

Some people may think that my 3-star review for Roswell season 3 is slightly harsh... but it think it's spot on in comparison to the other two seasons. The season doesn't really get going, there isn't a constant storyline and the character development just gets boring as it goes on. Don't get me wrong; I own all the seasons of Roswell, and the first and second seasons were both excellent and worthy of 5 stars each. But this season just seems like the producers had writers block or something because to be honest i really didn't get into it. However, it did pick up towards the end of the season, with a few great episodes and a fitting ending to this great show. Don't be put off though... this boxset it a must have for any die hard Roswell fan. It is a shame that the show was axed after the third season, but after watching this season you can kind of see why, because they really didn't have anywhere else to go with the story. It's still a great show that's provided me with countless hours of enjoyment and entertainment. Michael Guerin's (Brendon Fehr) one liners are enough to put you in stiches, and his personality often clashes with his alien counterpart Max Evans (Jason Behr). In all, all of the characters story's come together in this season and it makes for excellent viewing! Buy now!

Lots of people feel that seaso two is better than season three. However i am glad to see that in season three the shows producers went back to the emotional aspect of the show, rather than focusing on te sci-fi part. Don't get me wrong, i appreciate that Roswell is a sci-fi show, but i feel that in season two, the shows relationships were slightly neglected, and i was glad to see them redevelop in season three.
I thought that the indroduction of Jesse was a great way to stir up the dynamic of the group and i think that season three answered many questions that errected through the first tw seasons.
I was slightly dissapointed that it ended with the gang running away from Roswell, and would have preferred a battle which they came out on top of, but still i feel that the producers did a great job with a show that was cut off way ahead of its time.
Jason Behr is sure to go onto better things and make a name of himself. He has already begun by starring i films such as the Grudge and his new independant film. The new hair is a great look for him.
Roswell is a show that will be sorely missed by millions and i personally feel that it could of gone on for many more seasons and contend with shows such as Buffy, Angel, Charmed, Smallville etc.
All that i can hope for now is a movie. Lets keep our fingers crossed!

personaly i found that the third series was sumwat lacking compared to the previous season, but still a fantastic season. the first few episodes are are bit strange as they seem like a big leap from the previous season, but keep watching and youll get into it. this series focuses more on the relationships between the group which is great, however i would have like more si-fi also involved. i would of liked the ending to revert back to the subject of the original quest, 'who are they? where do they come from? how can they get back?'. i was also dissapointed that there was no new aliens involed as an enemy of the royal 4. it was a shame this season was cut short of a few episodes. this is a truly underated show and this last season is a great addition and final to the previous seasons.

Never caught this series on TV, can't even remember how I latched on to it, but whole family is gonna miss it. Its had its ups and downs in many ways, but emotionally it is/was totally involving. If you can tolerate a bit of sci fi and like something where the emphasis is mainly on the emotional side and in characterisation you will love this stuff.

The ending is OK but how I would have loved it to have dealt with the BIG STORY, taken on and beaten the big bad guys on their home planet - sorted that AND THEN chosen to give it all up for each other and a place on this beautiful planet of ours.

Maybe a one off movie...
