Written by guest reviewer: Bruno, our dog.

It was only fair that this film should be reviewed by someone with the kind of intelligence it was obviously aimed at, so therefore I've been given the job.

The humans I live with have watched some bad monster movies, but this just about takes the bonio. It opens with a few facts about Megalodons and when they existed. This little lecture tries to be educational but is completely muffed by the very title of the movie. Then the action kicks off with a tedious over-length prologue. A couple of irritating girls are eaten by some unseen water monster, intercut with scenes of characters in white coats shouting at each other. Before long a group of women in bikini tops are stranded in a remote location where men in black vests are holding them at gunpoint demanding they dive into a shark-infested lake to rescue a stolen painting.

If this is the way humans carry on I'm glad I'm a dog.

The best thing about this film is the hilariously bad CGI shark (think school computer package). I've seen scarier cats. And the epilogue is mildly funny, at least displays a sense of comic self-mockery. Unfortunately most of the film is a paw-curlingly bad mess of terrible dialogue, tedious 'suspense' and actors who are constantly out-acted by the trees in the background (which I thought looked very inviting, by the by).

If you want a film about a prehistoric shark then see the far superior "Dinoshark". If you want a film about stranded people trapped by some dangerous animal then see "Rogue". Or better still, save the money and buy some choccy treats for me.

This campy masterpiece is called "Jurassic Shark" because "Megalodon" was already taken. A oil company doing illegal drilling has drilled too deep and has opened up a pocket. A Megalodon has been released into the lake. Some college girls looking to expose the drilling get trapped on an island along with some other bad actors who are art thieves. The bad guys all wear black.

The shark is computer generated and can swim easily in a foot of water and pick off people standing on the beach. The sound track cheaply echoes when recording in a hallway. In one scene one of the bad guy has a girl in his gun sight when he is hit from behind...and the girl shows up behind him a second later!

The special effects had me laughing at loud at this film that would make Ed Wood proud. The acting and editing were equally horrible.

Parental Guide: F-Bomb, no sex, no nudity.

Honestly this is the worst film ever made , ever. My friends didnt believe me so i lent it to them, they were angry with me after watching it for wasting time they will never get back, i did say i warned you. And im a lover of the b-movies, i own mega shark vs giant octopus, bear and lockjaw to name a few and all are brilliant compared to this. This film would be scarier if they had filmed a puppy in a bath. ONLY WATCH THIS FILM IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE WORST FILM EVER MADE and maybe drink to it to make it more bearable. Dont say i didnt warn you.

I'm a real creature-feature addict and don't usually mind how awful the science or plasticy the crumbling buildings etc are but I can ony agree with the dire reviews. The opening sequence reminded me of the opening scenes of very low budget porn movies (i.e. before everyone gets their kit off) and, as other people commented, the sound quality is appalling. I went and checked my set-up before deciding it was the movie.
The only positive is that it did show faint signs of life in the last 10 or 15 minutes.

Worst film ever ever seen, me and boyfriend cant help but watch it becuase it's that bad! The shark is absolutley HILARIOUS! Worst low budget film ever EVER EVER made!!! We could have made a better film putting the dog in the bath and making him pretend to bite my foot - would of been a better film!! Only do it if you want the comedy haha.

This whole film stinks, if you buy this now that you have been warned, shame on you . this film could not be worse in every aspect of film making. There is as much care and attention in this film as Mr G Khan had for his neighbours.

You watch transfixed with horror... of such unbelievably bad acting, ridiculous shark 'footage', cgi, strange sounds effects, impossible attacks and then just have fun at all the utter ridiculous things you are 'supposed' to believe...though clearly the images negate the story, and my memorable scene... a survivor who leaves the lake...bone dry! I honestly never saw such a terrible film.

Here's a master class in how not to make a monster shark movie.
The plot is ludicrous.... Scientists working for an oil company are drilling deep when they discover a major oil field, however there is an ice pocket above that field, but don't worry they have emptied the ice into a nearby lake.
Cue two cute stereotype blondes in bikini's, totally relaxing by the side of a lake!!! Shall they go for a swim ... "what in a pool or something" "no, in the lake" ... "I'm afraid of sharks" "There's no sharks in fresh water stupid!"
Cut to two scientists arguing about the safety of draining the ancient ice into the lake ... "what could possibly go wrong" ..... shake the camera move side to side and pretend there has been an explosion, oh no !! (remember Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea The Complete Collection [DVD] [1964] .... The two blondes see the big explosion but hell, let's still go for a swim anyway, you know what happens next.
That's just the pre-credit sequence.
When it gets into full flow there's a gang of dangerous art thieves who have stolen a famous work by an American artist painted 1,300 years ago (so, pre Columbus then????), there's a journalism student investigating the oil drilling site and some friends out for a good time and of course there's something in the water.
It's a mega low budget movie, boats moved side to side to indicate the shark has hit them, blurred underwater shots as the largely unseen creature strikes then a series of shoddy CGI sharks that, as in so many of these films cannot seem to keep the supposed size of the shark constant.
