OK it’s purile, tasteless, badly acted, lambasted by the critics, cringeworthy, toilet humour orientated, sexist and plotless. So is it on par with possibly the world’s worst film also with Adam Sandler “Jack and Jill”. The answer is no – unfortunately there are some moments that are very funny whereas “Jack and Jill” is unwatchable. How on earth can this be? Probably because Sandler is playing a character that is so bad and so extreme he has moved into territory that Sacha Baron Cohen occupies with The Dictator, Borat and Bruno. I suspect this has all happened by accident and this film will go into a Hall of Fame for films which start out as rubbish and then develop a cult following. And yes it really is quite funny.

'That's My Boy' is comedy film that released in 2012. On its release the film was labelled as one of the worst movies ever made and received eight Golden Raspberry Award nominations, winning worst actor and worst screenplay. The feature was also embroiled in criticism for its comedic portrayal of incest and other related controversial subjects. In conclusion, the film flopped badly at the box-office.

Yes, the themes may be off putting and vulgarity not digested well. It's not something I enjoy watching. However, all these things aside, I enjoyed the overall comedy, which was fresh in execution.

The story revolves around Donny Berger (Adam Sandler) who is estranged from his son (Andy Samberg), he fathered when he was a teenager. In the present day, Donnie re-enters the life of his son just before his wedding to create mayhem.

I really enjoy Adam Sandler films and this offering was quite different, which is an understatement. I kept putting off watching the movie due to the bad press it received. I then watched it with my wife, who hates vulgar themed films, especially when there's controversial themes put in the mix. I was shocked, she actually found it funny, even more than me. I found some of the situations truly in your face hilarious. The jokes are new and make you laugh.

Unfortunately the acting by everyone is so bad. The main culprit is Sandler who deservedly won the Worst Actor Award. Saying that, this is a Sandler show and even with bad acting he makes you laugh.

The direction by Sean Anders is amusing when witnessing the outrageous scenarios that are rib tickling.

'That's My Boy' is a scandalous guilty pleasure.

How to describe this film...........the only word is strange, I don't want to ruin any of the story but from start to finish it's a real oddball. That said it's an easy to watch comedy with a dubious plot. At the centre is a tale about an estranged father re-connecting with his son, mix in s little sexual strangeness add a few okay-ish jokes and out pops "That's My Boy". Overall it's nice nice baby.but the writer is lyrical poet.

Dont get me wrong I loathe that voice, the sound of Adam Sandlers voice. And there's some truly, genuinely puerile moments here. But Andy Samberg is HOT. And you get to see Milo Ventimiglias naked buttocks. So I'm good.

Adam Sandler returns to the screen as Donnie Berger who was famous as a child for having sex with his teacher (Eva Amurri Martino). While in prison she gave birth to their son Han Solo Berger, who left home at 18 and changed his name to Todd Peterson (Andy Samberg). Upon seeing a wedding announcement in the paper, Donnie crashes the bride's home. His son, embarrassed by his foul mouthed, rude, uncouth father introduces him as an old friend. Donnie is immediately recognized as his infamous self which allows the family to tolerate his vulgar ways. Donnie also needs $43,000 to avoid going to IRS prison, but this major plot point becomes secondary once the antic start. Not Sandler's best work, but certainly not his worst.

Unlike "Jack and Jill" I was able to sit through this entire film. In spite of the excessive bad language and low brow humor, the film did have some appeal to it.

Parental Guide: Excessive F-bombs, sex talk, brief nudity and sex.

This movie, well I'll start of by saying it's dumb, no doubt about it it's really dumb but it does have a huge positive and that's that this film is actually funny! I wasn't expecting it to be, and I can't stand Adam Sandler, he is annoying as hell in this but I actually found him entertaining in this and I hate myself for that, I kept having thoughts in my head going "This isn't funny! Don't laugh!" Honest to god though some parts of this movie are hilarious and I couldn't help it. Now, lets take into account this is an Adam Sandler movie, it isn't one you would watch to watch a really fantastic film, it's one you would watch just for the hell of watching something really stupid and that's what this movie is, but unlike some of his films this one does that very well and managed to be funny so you can ignore the fact it's actually painfully rubbish.
