The first time I watched this film were at the cinema. I thought the film was very funny and the main reason why I decided to watch it was because of Miley Cyrus. Being a huge fan of her, I was really excited and the film definitely lived up to my expectations! So, the film is about Lola. She has a boyfriend and great friends. Her boyfriend tells Lola that he hooked up with another girl, so they break up and Lola starts a relationship with her friend, Kyle. At the same time, her mother goes through a divorce and she starts dating a police officer. One day, her mother reads Lola's diary and she then realizes that Lola and her do not have the honest relationship she thought they had.

Anyways, it is a great coming of age film and I also loved the music featuring on this film! Miley Cyrus truly shines in this film! Buy it, you will not regret it.

LOL features Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana the Movie) as Lola, a highschool girl with a boyfriend, Chad. They spend the summer apart and on the return, Chad informs Lola he has met someone else, Lola lies and says she has too. Cue the sympathetic best(male)friend Kyle who secretly loves Lola. Lola & Kyle give it a go, but with the myriad of problems modern-day life throws at highschool students, will they make it? Also; Demi Moore (Margin Call) as her mother, and a random foreign-exchange-trip that belittles foreigners by making them out to be socially-backward.

Well; where to begin? The central plot-driver to this film is a misunderstanding between two friends that could have been solved with a single sentence. Instead we have 97 minutes of Miley Cyrus mincing around highschool being a pretty disgusting person; a self-centered, drug-smoking, pop-culture-obsessed racist.

Disrespectful and ungrateful to her parents and generally acting a princess, whilst I totally appreciate it's a film, at several points I wanted to slap a character for their ridiculously aloof and self-important viewpoint. I wouldn't let kids watch this in fear that they may consider this a normal way to act and try to emulate the characters. What can I say; this maybe American-culture not carrying across but I thought a movie for teens should probably have a role-model/allegory/point in it, alas, not here.

One-star is too much for this, but I can't post a 0-star. Avoid like the plague!

After reading through some of the reviews I was a bit wary of buying this film as some of the reviews really weren't very good but I completely disagree. I absolutely love this film and is now my new favourite! I have always loved Miley Cyrus and I think that Douglas Booth is the perfect actor for the role. I recommend this film I have watched it A LOT of times since buying!!

Really good film! Very honest about the challenges of a life of a teenage girl. A real eye opener to the parents, maybe we do put alot of pressure on our teenage girls. Definetley a film worth watching!

There is a certain charm in this film you like the characters you are supposed to like, laugh when you are supposed to laugh, and think the idiots are idiots. I would give it 3 and 1/2 but I will round up. It is a good film to watch on a slow evening with nothing better to do. The sad thing is this film could have been great, because it raised many of the issues facing teenagers today. Things like acceptance, labelling, e-safety sexting among them. However none of these are followed up things just happen. The film is predictable and nobody will be surprised with anything that happen in this film but it is watchable and likeable, if a bit slow. I don't know his name but moose from Step Up 2 - the Streets [DVD] and Step Up 3 [DVD], does a good job play the geeky (slightly pervy), outcast but is under used. They do let him play to his strengths and give him a 5 second dance routine.

I Love this film and can't wait for it to come out on dvd. I never really liked Miley Cyrus until I saw this, it's her in a completely different light.
I've already recommended it to friends and they also love it. Such a brilliant film.

For as long as I can remember I have been in love with Miley Cyrus, but I've been wanting to see Miley do a serious movie for a long time now and then this movie came along and I saw Miley in a whole new light. This being Miley Cyrus at her best, this is quite a grown up movie, you've ben warned (I think it should have been made certificate 15/16 instead of 12). If you're use to seeing Miley play comedy roles like in Hannah Montana and you want to see something else from her, this is the movie for you. Even if you don't like her, I would say this is the movie to change your mind.

I fell in love with the soundtrack, her co-stars especially Douglas Booth, Lina Esco (I now have a female crush on this woman, I think she should have gotten more lines for this movie because she is an amazing actress), Ashley Greene (the best actor in the whole movie in my opinion), Demi Moore is fantastic, Lol wouldn't be the movie it is without her.

This is definitely not a 12 movie - it is more like a 15. Please do not imagine it is an innocent kids movie it is more hard punching than that. I bought it for my girls who are 13 and felt it was not appropriate.
