- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 December 2015Bought a Toshiba Satellite S50-B with an Intel Wifi and Bluetooth chip in it (the cheaper one). That chip turned out to be non-functional which many online comments support. Was rather annoyed because the rest of the laptop is exactly what I had expected. Could have returned it under warranty or sale of goods act etc, but that would have been hassle and I would have lost an otherwise decent machine. So I hunted for a USB Wifi dongle and found this little thing. PERFECT. No bluetooth of course but my concern was connecting to the internet. Streaming 1080p movies etc without issue, and the "handshake" for connection to the router is almost instant, as it should be. Also critically, for me at least, is that this is LOW low profile so you can keep it plugged in when you put the laptop back in its case (depending on case).
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 February 2015Works as expected in my Raspberry Pi 2 on the 2.4GHz band, works without drivers on raspbian, but it isn't dual band so it doesn't detect my 5GHz network. Range is good, the only issues I had were when the pi was undervolted (rainbow square in top right of display)- connection kept dropping out but that's hardly the fault of the component. New power supply sorted that out and have had no issues since. Ultra low profile, sticks out a little but that's so if you have a case it won't interfere with the fit. Overall very happy with it for a fiver.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 December 2014Seems fine on a Raspberry Pi B+.
Some configuration necessary before it can function but pretty straightforward.
It operates well outdoors to send wireless signal into the house router. The adapter is inside a car and transmits about 40ft through the car bulkhead and over the garden and into the house. The two way communication with the Raspberry Pi seems fine when working with terminal or any other python script I'm working with. I've not tried streaming media with it.
I also don't know (nor care) about build quality or in fact if it may last me more than a month as this dongle was bought for short-term tests. However, it runs warm but not hot. I also can see it falling to pieces if handled poorly but so would anything by anyone with ham fists!
Anyway, good for the price and helps me gain telemetry from my car outside whilst I'm warm at my desk in my study and free's me up from yards of clumsy wired Ethernet connection.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 April 2015This is DEFINITELY NOT compatible with the Rasberry Pi. It is not automatically recognised like other WiFi Adapters and can only be used in you have a degree in linux programming. It comes with drivers on a CD - The Rasberry Pi has no CD - so no use at all - This is a very misleading advert. It is rubbish, rubbish, rubbish. After loading the drivers onto a USB, I needed to use Linux commands to mount the USB onto the file system and only then could I access the drivers.
This is a small part of the README:

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 January 2020Works with my Raspberry Pi 2 out of the box.
Great signal (better than expected), using it as an Access Point. All devices can connect and receive good signal around the area.
Simple to set up on Linux, no external drivers needed which worked well for my situation.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 December 2014I got this for a Raspberry PI model A+ to connect to a Netgear R7000 Nighthawk
It works ok at close range but when I put it inside a thin plastic hobby box it just did not work at all.
The signal seems very week and even in line of sight it has issues at 7 or 8 meters away.
I guess for my use case I need an external antenna, so I am going with a different product.
But for most this should do as a starting point or for testing.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 March 2015Trouble free installation and it works as well as any other wireless dongle I've used. I did buy another make for my first Pi and for some reason only the Pi would drive it, even my other Linux machines wouldn't see it. There were no drivers and I never could get it to function on anything else. This one comes with drivers for Windows. Linux based PC's see it straight away, so This particular Wifi adapter works with anything.

pasquale s.Reviewed in Italy on 1 February 20155.0 out of 5 stars Perfetto nel suo piccolo

Arcade MasterReviewed in Italy on 13 December 20185.0 out of 5 stars WIFI per il Raspberry
Adattatore perfetto per i vecchi raspberry privi di connessione wifi. Si infila in una porta usb e si configura dal sistema operativo. Fortuna che i nuovi RPi hanno il wifi già integrato, utilizzare questi mini adattatori era un vero disagio.
