Pros:-
1. Looks nice, matches an iMac well.
2. Has a good quality feel (with an exception, see con 4. below).

Cons:-
1. The power cable is a bit short at 1.2m. This would make sense if it was going to be placed under your table out of the way, but it's designed to sit proudly at the front of your desk for easy access and it's a bit short for that.
2. The USB ports are a bit stiff, you will need to lift up the hub and hold firmly to insert and remove any devices.
3. There are no feet or similar on the bottom of the unit. This makes it quite slippery on a surface and you may find it slides around.
4. My unit had some small visible dings in the aluminium at the rear on the top which is a shame because this unit is supposed to look swish. Obviously some manufacturing issues here but your unit may be pristine.
5. When I purchased this hub the product description included 'USB Bus-Powered, no power adapter ever needed'. Being able to use this hub with and without a power supply was an important feature for me. I checked with Orico and they confirmed they made a mistake in the description, it only operates on power. Because of this I returned my unit. By the time you read this hopefully Orico have corrected the description (they told me they would) and you won't be misled.

Should you buy it? It all depends on what your requirements are, mine were very specific. As long as some of the cons I have listed don't apply to you it might be a good choice.

I took a chance on this as it seemed good quality and a reasonable price and I wanted something small with just a few ports that would sit on my desk to charge and sync a few devices. In short, this isn't a charger.

Pros:
- Works fine for data transfer.
- Seems to charge my iPhone.
- Reasonable cost.
- Wall plug PSU rather than chunky inline one found on other hubs.

Cons:
- No protective/anti-slip feet. Not a big deal but you might want to put a few of those clear rubber protective pads on it if you don't want your desk getting scratched or it moving around.
- Does not charge my iPad.*

Other:
- Cables are not particularly long. Not a bother for me as it sits at the back of my desk, but may be an issue for others.
- It's worth pointing out that it's a speckled rather than smooth silver aluminum case which isn't particularly clear from the picture. I have an aluminium monitor stand and the two look quite different next to each other.

*So, since installing this an hour ago, I've had a look around and apparently it's not possible to get high-current charge and sync ports on regular hubs. You either buy a hub for charging, a hub for syncing (i.e. this one), or one with a mix of sync/charge which will be at minimum 6 ports + 1 charger, or 7 + 2, etc.
I did find a commercial unit by Cambrionix with 2A output on 8 sync ports, but no doubt that is expensive. Most sync hubs will provide power, just not really enough to use it as a charger.

A very neat 4 port hub. It is only 4" wide and 2½" deep but the imput lead at the back unfortunately adds another 1½ and the thick co-ax cable makes it much less easy to position than I would like. Having said that it fits in well with an iMac. The blue pilot light is very bright!
