As if recently this product single handedly destroyed my TV and Elgato HD60 PRO Capture card!

I wouldn't recommend this for usage near any TV unless you use the official adapter...which is a very VERY specific voltage and amping

I bought this item in the hope that it would provide me with good upscaling of my Wii and PS2 (connected via component cable).

The converter itself is very small and light. Not the best build quality. The picture is quite soft in the 720p upscaled mode, and takes on a "jagged/edgy" feel in 1080p mode. The picture is definitely passable and for an upscaler of this low price you could probably not expect any better. The colors appear quite over saturated also, but still acceptable.

The one thing that made me ask for a refund after buying this was I noticed the sound is very distorted with bright sounds. Like if you record something with way too high level. I would guess it is an issue with how it is constructed internally. I have used a XCM HDMI Blaster converter before which had NO problem with the sound whatsoever. Same cables used to connect also.

In closing, put simply - this is not a product I would recommend.
