When you look online for a gaming headset, you would want it to be reasonably priced and also provide all the funcationality that other gaming headsets provide. For those on a very tight budget, the Plantronics Gamecom 380 PC Stereo Gaming Headset is something that many people would be looking into.

Let's have a look at the pros and cons of this gaming headset.

Pros:
Lightweight - Built mostly of plastic. Headband is sturdy and has a bit of flex to accomodate for different sizes of heads.
Comfortable - Ear cups go around your ears. Can be worn for long periods of time without discomfort.
Easy to Use - Just plug the headset in the 3.5mm jacks and you're ready to go!
Microphone is good - Clear voices and good quality for price range. Can be bent to a position which suits you.
Sound is decent - Above average sound quality with a bit of crosstalk.
Turnable cups - Makes wearing headset around neck a viable option.
Cable is 2m long - Should be long enough for most people.
Volume and mic control on left cup - Personally I like this very much, but it may not be everybody's cup of tea.

Cons:
Hardly any bass from drivers (For games, it's fine. For music and movies, oh hell no!).
Glossy plastic on the outside of the cups are basically fingerprint magnets.
Rubber cable - Would have preferred a braided cable, but can't really expect it in this price range.

Conclusion:
I was pleasantly surprised to have got such a good product. The gaming headset is comfortable to wear and provides decent sound quality. The microphone is adjustable and is clear. There is also a microphone on/off switch and a volume dial on the left cup.
It is very hard to find a decent gaming headset in this budget price range, but this gaming headset has managed to stand out from all the other gaming headsets in this price range. Personally I think this gaming headset is very good and should by considered by those PC gamers out there who was struggling to find cash to splash. Even if you're not a PC gamer and you only intend to use this headset for things such as skype calls, I would still highly recommend them to you!

I've owned a lot of headsets over the years, some costing a lot of money.

I bought these for use with games, skype and some video commenteries i do and they are really good quality. The mic is very clear and my voice comes across nicely thorugh it while the sound quality is also very good in the headset itself. I have owned the Fatal1ty headet by creative before this one and this headsent beats it in all departments for me. The headset sits on my head very comnfortably and adjusts well to the shape of my fairly big head. They earphones are very copmfortable and produce excellent sound quality. The is a mic mute button situated near the volume control on the back of the left earphone and there is also a movable mic arm that is sturdy and can easily be moved in and out of talking position. It takes a little getting used to using the mic mute button and controls where they are if your used to the usual cable located ones but once you are used to it i find it to be much better having them where they are.

The build quality is solid; they have padding for the ears and the top of the head and have a sturdy feel to them. It is worth noting the cable is not a usb one, this is one is split into a mic cable and one for the speakers so plug these straight into your sound card. Thankfully i have a pretty good soundcard so this works nicely for me.

I paid the £20 price for these and recieved them 2 days later on super saver delivery which was great! As a nod to the comfort levels of them i went to have a 1 hour go of DayZ one night and ended up playing all night for around 5 hours and didnt even notice the headset (also with glasses on), if in fact all i noticed was that they kept my ears warm and the sound quality was brilliant, i heard noises i hadnt even noticed before! The mic was great too and everyone could here me clearly (although i turned up the mic in Windows 7 and tested it a fair bit before i played).

For the price this is an excellent headset that could easily cost a lot more, unless you want a 7.1 ultra high-quality headset this is the best possible value. It performs as well if not better than many much dearer headsets and is all you need for gaming and skype/vblogging etc. unless you 'need' surround sound.

5/5 - excellent headset at a great price!

I purchased the item to use on skype/razer comms to talk to others whilst gaming, it does not disappoint. Before i used an inbuilt mic on my laptop and this is a big improvement, the mic quality is good, very clear, and the noise canceling works well. People struggle to hear you if you move the mic to the top of your head. The controls on the ear pod is a really good idea as it stops for the wire (which seems very robust and long-lasting)working its way loose on an inline control. The quality of the headphones themselves is not amazing, you wouldn't expect so from such a budget product, they can seem a little dull but messing about with eq's fixes this. Perhaps not the best choice if you want to produce a song, but for playing a game and listening to music, good enough. Finally they are very comfortable, you can wear them all day and barley notice, all i would say is if you want full surround sound (not just stereo) than bu the gamecom 780's, however if you want a budget headset that will last you a while. Look no further!

4.0 out of 5 stars molto durature nel tempo
Reviewed in Italy on 6 October 2015

5.0 out of 5 stars De la qualité pour un petit prix !
Reviewed in France on 11 September 2014

5.0 out of 5 stars Sehr gutes Headset für einen sehr guten Preis
Reviewed in Germany on 6 January 2014

5.0 out of 5 stars MUY BUENOS
Reviewed in Spain on 10 December 2012

4.0 out of 5 stars Très bon rapport qualité/prix !
Reviewed in France on 15 June 2015
