Not the model as advertised
I wanted the model of coffee machine that is shown and advertised model number, this is an older model an hard to find now, So I thought that £204 was a little high but worth it to get the model I was looking for. But I was sent the newer updated model, but that has less features ( no low water level indicator) but is also well over £50 cheaper at most retailers, So I feel that I was falsely over charged for a new but cheep product.

    I brought this as a christmas present last year for my partner and have ended up using it myself daily it is so good.

    Very easy to set up for the first time just run a few cups of water through to clean it out. Comes with a pack of sample capsules so you can choose which are your favourite varieties. The machine makes espresso (short) 40ml or lungo (long) 110ml coffee and these amounts are pre programmed from the factory. You can also adjust the volume for each yourself by holding the button down and it will remember the amount for subsequent uses.

    The machine uses the proprietary Nespresso capsule system and they are only officially available from the online Nespresso club or a "boutique". I recommend avoiding buying from other places as you cannot guarantee how old the capsules are as they only last 12 months also many places such as ebay are more expensive than through Nespresso. There are around 12 varieties to choose from including Ristretto, Espresso and Lungo types. If your looking to make a large mug of coffee you will need to make an espresso and then add hot water afterwards.

    The coffee produced by the machine is excellent and better than most coffee shops and has a great crema layer on top. It has the advantage of being consistant every time and is easy to clean compared to a traditional espresso machine.

    I recommend choosing the pixie in a colour rather than the boring Titanium I purchased however it does feel sturdy and well made. It is small and would fit in any kitchen or office. Could be taken on holiday if staying in a caravan or boat etc.

    Only negative points would be the unmarked on/off switch which almost seems hidden and the water tank which is awkward to put back into place sometimes. Overall excellent coffee machine and would recommend to friends.

    Ordered this for the office, I also have a larger Krups with integrated Milk-Foamer and have personally used Nespresso for over 10 years.

    I have to say, this machine is as good as any other Krups machine I have tried over the last 10 years, while having intellegent features such as the automatic power-off and standby modes, as well as the 20 second start-up time (really fast!).

    Practical aspects:
    + The machine is really small, but the technology is the same or similar to larger machines, i.e. the coffee tastes as great as always.
    + You can hide it easily if you want to (due to the size), but why would you, it looks great!

    - Compared to larger machines the used coffee container is a bit smaller, which means it has to be emptied after about 9-14 coffees, something that should be done anyway though. Therefore no reduction in points.

    If you like Nespresso, you will love this product! And if you need new coffee, nespresso is as great with customer service as Amazon, last time I ordered coffee, it took less than 24 hours to arrive (with free delivery!).

    Initially bought Pixie coffee machine after using one at a friend's house. No problems with the delivery however the machine did not live up to my expectations. After a short period of use; the machine began to leak from the spout, the coffee temperature was inconsistent and it quickly ceased working on the lungo mode. I requested a replacement which arrived swiftly but virtually the same problems occurred with the replacement so have requested a full refund. Very disappointing as when the machine works well, the quality of the coffee is excellent.

    Always been a stovetop coffee fan myself, and scoffed a little at these. Eventually decided to try one, and it makes lovely, lovely coffee. Simple to use, easy to fill, quick to rinse out the parts, havent had it long enough to descale. Nice hot espressos, just use a milk pan or microwave and frother for milk for great tasting lattes or cappuccinos. My wife loves the decaf, I like the strongest ristretto. The capsules are a little expensive compared to bags of coffee for the stovetop, but the flavour is delicious and consistent, and the pods can be recycled back to the club to help reduce the waste and save resources. It's quick, it's easy, its convenient and I highly recommend it.

    I was on holiday in Italy and my hosts had a Nespresso machine and I fell for it - now whether it was this model or not I don't know, but came home, shopped and so far so good. I like the coffee it makes. A double espresso is just about right for breakfast - I realised while I made coffee and ground the beans I was only drinking half the cup - and while the pods are expensive one a day is not going to break the bank that much as beans are not cheap either. It seems to work well, does it rapidly, I like the look of it - mine does not have red sides and I have had it now for about nine months so.......risk it would be my advice.

    We absolutely love this machine. It fits in the kitchen very nicely. The price was excellent, as it was £13 cheaper than where we originally were going to get it, but they could not get any supplies, so we were more than happy to find it on Amazon. It was delivered as promised and put to use that night.
    It is very easy to use, the coffees that came with it were if I recall one of each, but we then joined the club and purchased their starter pack, which arrived in 48hrs. We have not found a coffee we don't like.
    There are no negatives with this product. We did a lot of reading reviews on other cheaper machines and it seemed that although they were cheaper and long lasting, when people replaced them, it was nearly always with a Nespresso, so we went with that.
    We did have the misfortune to taste coffee from a Dulce Gusto machine and we thought it was very nasty and manufactured. It was a Latte and I was shocked to see that 10% of the drink was sugar! I am diabetic, not great. With the Nespresso it is just coffee and water, why should a latte need sugar, you don't get that in the shop.
