I bought this microphone to replace my older setup that was using a mixer and a powered mic.
The build quality of the mic is superb, and really does look and feel like a quality product.

I have been using on my mac with FCPX to do voiceovers and have found the quality to be really good!

Occasionally, and this is probably the mac rather then the mic, I get a clipping sound but it's not happened very often, hence the reason I'm blaming the mac over the mic itself.

Good quality microphone

...however you'll need a pop guard, quiet input devices and a sound guard to make the most of it. Couple other points:
- Don't expect something in this price range to pick up visceral detail either. But it's perfectly fine for most quality audio uses
- This requires near as dammit to 5 volts so if you have a USB port delivering 4.7-4.8 don't be surprised if the machine doesn't find the hardware. Try a different port, that's what I did.

I bought this to record acoustic guitar and vocals and it's great. It's ultra sensitive (it picked up noises outside that I couldn't hear) but recording at lower volume right up close to the guitar gives you pure, completely undistorted sound that really sounds live when you play it back. Same goes for vocals. If you plan on buying a pop shield though, make sure you get the AKG one designed for the mic as the stand is small with little place to clip anything on. That said, it's very sturdy. Properly pleased with this microphone, would recommend it to anyone planning small recording projects like EPs, and it's a fantastic standard of mic if you are going to do a podcast or something. For any musicians planning to record, get mixcraft bro its the best.

Great USB microphone. No problems getting it up and running on my Sony Win7 laptop. Vocals are very clear, and niose levels hardly noticable. No background hiss. Construction is solid and the mike stand is an essential extra. Would recommend this microphone to anyone interested in home recording and professional voice over work.

The microphone is the best I've used with a usb connection - it has a built in pop shield and is proving perfect for work on audio drama as well as for voice-recognition dictation. In the latter case it's really nice to be able to dictate without having headphones on, from well over a foot away from the microphone, and still have excellent results. For audio drama (and so I guess for podcasting) this seems like a good choice to me, so if that's want you want one for, this is a good choice.

Build quality is also very good, so there's not really much to fault it!
