My 3 and a half year old loves this dvd.He's asked to watch it every day since it arrived.He likes to watch The Mr Men Show on Milkshake every morning ,and now hw can watch them whenever he likes.Could have a few more episodes on but you can't have everything.Fast delivery and a great price.

Not Just For Children

Wonderful North American spin on the Mr Men Series of characters by Roger Hargreaves is a treat for children and adults alike.
My 6 year old son loves the physically crazy ones- little miss daredevil,Mr Bounce and Little Miss Calamity.I love Mr Scatterbrain- a wonderfully funny character who fires off surreal comments and ramblings that are aimed firmly at the adult audience- he is a benign Homer Simpson if you like.Mr Pernickity is a hoot too with his accent sure to make you laugh(or maybe not)at the old fashioned un pc stereotyping of it.
Episodes include the very funny "Trains" and "Car Wash" and the sheer quality of the writing is to be admired.
Narrated by Simon Callow which is lovely in itself.

Great Show - Poor Value DVD

Our entire family has enjoyed watching this updated classic on the TV. As ardent fans of the originals, the grown-ups were very suspicious of these Johnny-come-lately's, since as a rule, remakes suffer in comparison with the originals.

Not so the 'Mr Men Show'. The humour in these cartoons in gentle (although it is guilty of reinforcing racial stereotypes) and multi-levelled, so both children and adults can enjoy them together (essential for good children's viewing these days). The slightly preachy moralising of the original books has gone and what's left is top quality family entertainment.

So why only two stars? Well frankly it's the fact that the DVD only contains five episodes. Perhaps I was a fool for pre-ordering; first release TV DVD's are normally a complete rip-off and frankly this isn't an exception. They are five good episodes but my son is rapidly going to want to know where the others are, which it now appears will mean buying at least another three DVD's.

So the TV show is great and well worth watching, but I'm sure it won't be all that long before the entire series is available for the same price as these five episodes and I would advise holding out until then.

my lil ones loved this item and for the prices you can not complain

my lil ones watched this over and over while was away on holiday (hence why i had to obtain this as we could not take it away back home with us )
kept them quiet for hours on end on winding down after playing and exploring my lil ones are 2 years (girl) and 4 years (boy)

I had bought my kids some of the classic Mr Men and Miss dvd's and they like watching them from time to time. When this one arrived they put it on the dvd and has been of great request for the past week!! It is very funny and witty so i don't mind watching it myself!! Great dvd, great price and happy kids...i would buy it again.

The carry handle is a nice touch and it still fits into DVD racking along with standard DVD cases.

Not to be played in N. America

The DVD did not work in the USA, due to a conversion issue. Although we adore the Mr. M. Show, we wish we did not incur an expense for something to be added to the trash.
