Pontypandy's favourite Fireman is back. In 'To the Rescue', Sam is joined by a host of engaging characters including a new Mountain Rescue Station manned by the rugged Tom Thomas and stray dog Dusty. 'The Big Freeze' finds Pontypandy in the grip of a cold snap, with Norman trying to keep the sheep warm; while 'On Stage' is a live stage show centred around a Fun Day in Pontypandy.

What would I do without these DVDs

Great for a Fireman Sam fan. Great if you want a 2.5 year old active toddler to sit still in one place and give you time to breathe. He sits mesmerised watching the dvds. Its a different thing that I practically know all the dialogues

My son's love watching 2 out of the 3 dvd's from this pack. The one they don't like watching is the live/stage one but who know's maybe your children will. I have come to the point of avoiding having to put it on. They also love the fireman sam cd for the car too.

My little boy (who is 2) is quite new to the traditional Firmen Sam (on TV). I didn't realise when I ordered this set that it would be the newer Fireman Sam. He absolutely loves this set (especially the live stage version dvd).

Grandsons favourites

My grandson is Fireman Sam mad and we only realised this just before Christmas. There was a mad dash to try and get him things from Father Christmas on Fireman Sam, but he must be very popular because everything we tried to get was sold out. I told my daughter that you cannot leave it late for popular things because they do get sold out quickly. However, I found some DVD's for him, one of which is this one. He loves it, and watches it repeatedly if I let him. I try to persuade him to have others on for while, but he always comes back to Sam.

All the short clips are based on Fire awareness and Fire safety. He is too young to know this at the moment, but if he hears the moral often enough, hopefully it will stick in his brain for the future. I like watching them with him as they are also very funny. As a welsh person myself I can see the funny side and remember what it was like when I was young. My grandsons interest in these was rewarded after Christmas by my Son-in-law's friend who is a fireman. He invited two of his friends children down to the station and showed them around. They had a slide on the 'pole' and he drove them around a short distance with the 'ne-naw' blasting. They absolutely loved it. They have got another date with him in the summer.

I thank Fireman Sam for this interest and know that the lessons will be remembered for future reference.
