Excellent set

A bargain at the current price, this set is the perfect gift for Fireman Sam's little fans.
For some reason reviews for another set of Fireman Sam's DVDs (the set with a live performance) seem to have been mixed with reviews for this one (a mix of older very watchable episodes with newer ones, though not the latest), thereby allowing the ratings for this set to go down. All the criticisms seem to be aimed at the other set, so it might be worth it double checking which set you are actually ordering. To my mind this set (Action station + Let it snow + Fun run) has everything you and your children can expect from it and it arrived the next day to boot!
Update: My review has been published for both sets although it only applies to the one described above so as I said before, make sure you read the reviews that apply to the set that suits you.

Great value for money

My 4.5 yr old son loves it. He watches all 3 DVDs in this triple pack over and over again. The first DVD, "Action Stations" is 2 hours worth of the original series in the older claymation format. The other 2 DVDs, "Fun Run" and "Let It Snow", include some newer episodes but not the most recent episodes; these are both in an updated claymation format. If you're more interested in the most recent Fireman Sam episodes (which are in the cartoon animation format), then you should buy "The Hero Next Door" DVD, since it is not included in this triple pack. We purchased "The Hero Next Door" DVD in addition to this triple pack, and my son loves all the DVDs equally well.

Three times the fun!

We bought this as a suggested item for a Christmas gift for our 3 year old son when purchasing toys of the same character. The episodes featured are not the latesest computer graphically enhanced ones currently shown on digital television, but nevertheless, my son will be very happy to receive these, and it is less likely he has seen them all as the newer episodes are constantly being repeated! We are pleased with this box set as it is good value for money, and is something that may not be found easily available in the High Street!

Hours of peace for only £5!

This box set consists of the best of the original episodes that I remember from when I was a little girl, then 2 dvd's from the newer claymation series from a few years ago. My 3 and a half year old son loves the newer ones because of the helicopter which is a new addition in the more recent series, but I was also impressed that he chooses to watch the older ones too. I paid £4.99 for the 3 dvd's plus postage and it was definatley money well spent, we have watched them many times already and they are a definate hit in our house.
