Follow dentist, Bob and his chiropodist wife, Margaret in this award winning animated comedy series about the trials of middle class life in London. Bob and Margaret are stressed, insecure, jealous, petty and argumentative. In other words, they are like so many of us. They dote on their two dogs, William and Elizabeth, like the surrogate children they clearly are and constantly wonder if, at the age of forty, they should decide to have real children or not. Just a note...all remaining Bob and Margaret episodes (series 1-4) are available for download only from the US Amazon site. It's Windows only, no Mac,(that leaves me out..grrr.) and I don't know if they're available for the UK.

This must be the best animated series ever made and I have been hoping for a DVD release for a long time. Well here it is (although why series 2 first?) and this DVD does not disappoint - every episode is a well observed gem of suburban life. The episode where they meet the child hating pair of 'luvvies' (actor and sculptor) is absolutely hilarious. I just hope that the other series are released soon, especially the later ones where Bob & Margaret (not to mention their dogs, William & Elizabeth) relocate from London to Toronto.

I used to love this little show when it was on. I have the two VHS videos that are for sale on here and have been waiting for them to come out on DVD.

After some digging, it's apparent there are some problems with getting the other series out. Usually publishing or distributor red tape that takes years for somebody to sort out. Is it really worth it for the amount of return they're gonna make??? Hmm.

Anyway - the last box set I got (the fab Channel 4 show ABSOLUTELY) took 18 years to get onto one DVD box set.

I hope they stick with it. They don't make TV like this anymore. Sucks.

Fairly unknown but very witty comedy - great mix of british and candian humour

What else can I say? i saw some episodes on TV and was hoping that a DVD would be produced, and here it is! bit confusing what happened to the "first" series (as this is the "second").

Extremely good entertainment. Why it has "15" rating I cannot understand. As this is everyday life with a twist and quirky humour.

This is classic comedy animation which includes the voice of comedian steve coogan this was on channel 4 in 1998 but i never saw it until 2001 which was on around 1-3am it's about a couple who's lives are up & down like any typical relationship there friends are annoying,bobs brother has bob looking after the children which turns into a nightmare which makes them not want to have their own and have 2 loveley dogs instead.It's just a shame they have not realeased the whole 4 series and just series 2 where the hell is series 1 first let alone the rest anyway it's better than nothing you can only get the 1st series from america on vhs on ntsc which is crap really and not fair,i really hope they bring the others out like i rember when the series gimme gimme gimme came out the first & 3rd series was out but no second series for 3 years later very strange but they might do the same with this anyway don't miss out you'll love it even if your not a fan of animation and it's defo not fot your children.
