As a fan of films, particularly those in the horror genre, when I discovered the work of Marc Hagan-Guirey I was fascinated and so impressed by his paper cut out scenes. The book is great at explaining each stage of constructing the models and the pictures and diagrams are really very nice. I also like the snippets of his own story and how he became involved in kirigami. Its very interesting.
Seeing how cut and fold scenes are made has encouraged me to have a go at my own designs, although it is an eye opener as to how complex designing this art is.
Brilliant book. Hope Hagan-Guirey produces another!

Such a fantastic book, clear instructions, clever designs, I've been cutting and folding them all rainy bank holiday afternoon. I have actually ordered two more copies already to give to friends. Can't wait to finish off more of the designs, my apartment is going to end up filled with horror-kirigami. Definitely recommend for horror film fans who fancy a bit of arts and crafts.

This amazing book has 20 scenes to cut and fold, and all the instructions you need to make gruesome models such as Skull Island from King Kong,Dracula's Castle,Dr Frankenstein's Watchtower and Laboratory The Werewolf and the brilliant Monster Attack, based on Godzilla.
There are lots of really useful tips on how to make the models, and a nice into by Marc Hagan-Guirey on how the book came about.I have been a fan of Horrorgami ever since I saw the very first models and have quite a few postcards,so this is a chance to have a go myself;the book's only just arrived so I haven't made anything yet,but watch this space!

T’is the month of ghosts and ghouls, of skeletons and spirits so what are you going to do to get your home in order, well worry not as this cracking book from “the paper dandy” as a whole host of creepy paper constructs for you to create in a step by step guide to making that extra scene for you to have fun with.

OK, so its not straight forward and to be honest I had trouble with the straight edges but that’s down to me rather than the book. It is fun, the silhouettes give you something superbly creepy and if you do what I did (which was to photocopy the patterns, you can then make them each year or to give away as Halloween gifts, or if you feel extra especially tricksy, you can blow them up and create a huge design.

All round, it’s a good bit of fun and with idea’s for everyone there’s so many things that you can have fun creating to give you that extra special theme. Magic.

Bought this as a gift for a friend that loves horror and origami. Its fun, however for someone that can do real origami this is a bit gimmicky as its really just pieces of card for you to cut and shape into silhouettes. But it's a cute enough gift

Just got this today and it's excellent! I'm always looking for new craft projects and this has put my brain into overdrive. I've already ordered all the kit I need to start. He leads you gently from a simple image to some at the end that will hopefully enable you to come up with ideas of your own. Only thing is I don't want to dismantle my copy - even to photocopy it - so I guess I'll just have to buy another one (totally worth it!).

    Wow.

I picked this up as an impulse buy as a project for a papercradt entry in my local show. I took a craft knife and made a great pop-up haunted house card with very little effort following the instructions and template provided.

I can't wait to try some of the trickier projects and recommend this for anyone who wants to try cutting and folding card to make horror-themed scenes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Una maravilla.

3.0 out of 5 stars

This is really fun and relaxing. It takes me about 2 hours to complete one of these and because of the concentration, everything else on my mind disappears. The instructions and tips for each design are also very helpful.
