love Ariana but not this

Really any need for swearing especially aimed at younger fans ! , and going down the road of the boring exes songs - you're miles better than swearing , a voice you have should be shown off - Ariana you're miles and miles better than this

A beautiful album full of incredibly varied songs. Ariana really delivers in this one, I’m a huge fan of her (An Arianator you could say!) and I love each and every track. My favourite so far is “ghostin’” due to its ethereal feel, and I love “Bloodline” too. I’m really happy with the album, and I hope she follows up her Sweetener tour with a thank u, next tour.

Talking to Billboard last December, Ariana Grande pledged that she would no longer be held to the industry rules and standards of the female popstars that have come before her: "I just want to talk to my fans and sing and write music and drop it the way these boys do", she said. "Why do they get to make records like that and I don't? So I do and I did and I am".
And so, here it comes, her fifth and most assured album, less than 6 months after last year's "sweetener", her most innovative album yet. She appears upside down on the cover of this new set, just like she did on the previous one - an acknowledgement of a world tipped on its head, or her own personal travails of late.
Fortunately, although "thank you, next" could have felt hurried, it is instead the result of a burst of creativity, with plenty more great songs than its predecessor, especially bop numbers which that record lacked. (I remember my enthusiasm for the release of "sweetener" thanks to the superb singles of "no tears left to cry" and "god is a woman", both instant classics, just like her incredible performance at the VMAs. And how disappointed I was left by the rest of that record.)
Production is shared between the likes of Max Martin, Tommy Brown and Happy Perez, however there is a unifying sonic line that ties it all together beautifully. At the centre of it all, for the first time since "My everything", is Grande herself, finding her voice in many ways. If I were to single out a couple of favourites, those would be "ghostin" and "bad idea", two tracks so different between them but so brilliant. And I would also admit that "7 rings" is the least strong song on here. A lesser artist's music might have been overshadowed by the tabloid frenzy, but Grande has met each event with her most irresistible music, not letting the drama overshadow the music.
This is is clearly one of her most cohesive sets, and just as enjoyable as her best ones to date, her sophomore "My everything" and its follow-up "Dangerous woman". Leaning fully into Grande's penchant for R'n'B, flowing between '90s-style hip-hop, perfectly pure pop, often garnished with orchestral strings, thumping basslines, and ethereal production, darker and sexier than ever before, this makes her pleasant but lightweight debut seem almost unimportant. She has progressed greatly 5 albums and 6 years into her music, and although "Dangerous woman" remains the best thing she has presented to date, "thank you, next" secures Ariana's status as the world's biggest popstar, offering us a window into an artist at the peak of her powers. Loving this.

This is Ariana’s best album! Pop and rnb influences and finally a lot more grown. I’m not sure why another review called her shocking and controversial for a few swear words lol get the clean version then bore! She’s not a children’s artist.
Best songs:
fake smile, needy, bloodline, makeup, in my head and break up with ur girlfriend.
There is not one skipable track, though the weakest would be 7 rings. The album is fun and leans more to rnb, feels more personal to her previous stuff.
I’m glad she went in this direction as Sweetener started off as a weak album (got better on the latter of the album e.g. everytime, better off). She’s becoming a very strong contender for pop music and can’t wait for her future releases!

Wow, what a mess. Her Dangerous Woman Era was nice easy listening pop music. Since then she has embraced her shocking and controversial side. Sounds nothing more than someone trying to do what Rihanna does....
