Detective Natalie Ward Book 2
29 December 2018
This is the second book featuring Detective Natalie Ward. Thankfully this time the murdered people are all adult (the first book was all children being murdered). Natalie has a ruthless approach and ‘attacks’ those she interviews. Work is her life to the detriment of her family, especially her husband who badly needed her support but received none.
Two young wives are murdered and Natalie struggles to find out who carried them out. Several leads all fail to deliver but a lucky break eventually leads to the killer. I did guess who the killer was, mainly because he was mentioned early on and ruled out - a sure sign. But I did think I was wrong as Adam seemed more likely at one stage - the writer is very good at laying false trails. Well worth a read.
