Top critical review
An amazing phone for the price, but has some serious flaws!
25 October 2018
I don't usually write reviews but I'd like to point out a few things that I didn't see when I purchased this phone!
The phone is amazing for £230, what a bargain and it's on par with many flagships / Sudo-flagships. But unfortunately I had to send mine back for a few reasons...
- The sound is just awful. This is a known Honor/Huawei issue on their European models. It's so quiet! I've tried on different pairs of headphones and it's still too quiet to listen to music properly. At least get the basics right!
- Android Auto: This phone does not play well with Android Auto. 50% of the time it wouldn't work. The times that it did work, the audio would again be quiet or really poor quality.
- Another small thing I came across; Spotify crashes all the time! I know this may be an issue with the developer but I didnt have similar issues on other Android phones! Another little annoyance.
Everything else about the phone is brilliant, such a shame it's let down by some basic stuff.
I upgraded to a OnePlus 6 and all these issues have gone away.
