Picture quality is great. Very lightweight, sound seems good and battery life seems really good. Works well connected to TV. Start up time to film is a little over 5 seconds which is a bit frustrating when trying to capture something quickly. Haven't used it a huge amount, but so far it's exactly what I wanted.
Only 4 stars because although it's a good little camcorder, takes nice clear videos, it's light and easy to handle, its control system for the on screen menus is flawed. If you haven't got tiny delicate fingers, you're going to have a terrible and frustrating time tapping the icons on the touch sensitive flip out screen (which is too small really) like me. And the menus are slow to react as well. There is an audible 'beep' every time you successfully manage to get your finger tip to register on the screen but eventually that 'beep' will get on your wick, you'll turn it off like I did, and then you've no idea if touching the screen has had any effect - it's terrible!
I'll manage and struggle on with mine because I got it for £99 refurbished directly from Panasonic but other people may find this is a deal breaker if you're going to pay £170 for it which is what it's going for at the moment here on Amazon.
Don't say you weren't warned because it's a pain...
