With typical timing, I ordered this around the start of a month-long heatwave, but I’ve worn it instead of a jacket for a few summer evenings and all day today as the temperature dropped from around 27C to 21C. I’ve been too hot at times today, but I guess that’s not surprising. I’ve not had chance to try it in real cold, though as it’s quite thin I suspect this is more of an autumn jumper than a winter one (but you could always layer it with other things).
I mostly take Large sizes or sometimes Medium, which this is. In hindsight, I wish I’d got this in a Large, especially as it’s likely to be worn over something else. Once on it’s fairly tight, though not excessively so, but it is tight enough that I find it a bit of a job to get on and off sometimes. Of course, this isn’t really a fault of the shirt itself, merely an indication that I’d be better off in a larger size.
It’s a lovely, soft, fleecy material, particularly on the inside. I suspect at some point it will start to bobble though, having not worn or washed it that much as yet, it’s too early to say how soon that will be. I think the plain black looks pretty smart too, though I’d probably have preferred a V-neck. (With no label in the neck either, it’s not obvious what’s the front and what’s the back.)
I suspect, since it’s on the small side for me, that it may end up being one that my girlfriend gets to borrow, which is a shame because otherwise I do rather like it. I may have to get a Large one for myself.
This is a plain black sweatshirt (other colours are available). It has a good quality feel to it and is comfortable to wear. It's been too hot to test whether it keeps the cold out but I suspect that, despite its light weight, it will do the job especially when worn with other layers (many layers is better than one thick layer in any case).
It is size L and is about the right size for this. Sizes such as S, M, L etc vary widely but for anyone who usually wears size L should find that this fits comfortably.
