Ensure you have been sent the updated design
26 February 2018
I have two and think they are very good.
NOTE: they updated the design to stop the sidebars retracting while the child sits in the seat. Some vendors are still sending out the old design. Make sure the one you receive has the updated design, where you have to pull the catches to BOTH pull out and push back in the sidebars. The old design is a ratchet system whereby you need to pull the catches only to slide out the bars but not for sliding them back under the seat. What this means in practice with the old design is that you find the bars slide back on their own during journeys which means they end up under the child and it is difficult to remove the seatbelt. They changed this design for good reason, so don't end up with the old design as some vendors are still trying to sell off their old stock.
I had a standard booster seat with a high back and side impact protection but as my son reached age eight it was too narrow for his shoulders. These seats are perfect for the age between 8 and when they no longer need a booster seat. I fully recommend them
