Frustratingly disappointed - faulty disc one (twice!)

Marked down not because of the content but the quality of the discs, and frustrating issues with Amazon call centre and policy.
For the second time we have encountered faulty disc 1 of 2 in box. 'Chatted' last night to someone who arranged another replacement and return label.
Email today from 'Barun' of customer services who understandably said it was not Amazon policy to keep sending replacements because of possible faulty batch. Email talks about initiating refund etc. it quoted telephone number which we called because the CD set was a present to husband and we are enjoying the CD that does work! - a refund is not what we want and would prefer a replacement even if we have to wait for i.
The lass in the Philippines call centre (New Year's Day) must have been trainee level and although pleasant, could not seem to grasp our issue - nor did she appear to have access to our complete record and when asked who Barun was, she had no clue. Asking if we could speak to supervisor was fruitless - it seems that she was reluctant to let us speak directly and would only put us on hold repeatedly while SHE obviously consulted somebody else. In the end, we are left expecting another replacement CD and hoping that it will work - or will Barun's message take precedence and Amazon will be awaiting our returned discs before issuing a refund???
We really do want all JOHN RUTTER SONG BOOK and we would like to hold on to the disc that does play until a non faulty total replacement can be ours! We understand that it is not practical for them to check for a fault before they send a replacement but if they can consult bach numbers and if they have more than one from which to select perhaps chose another for our replacement. But surely the manufacturer/supplier can be involved in ensuring that we can have a non faulty box.
