This is amazing. Bale is awesome and the plot is really good and keeps you watching. The acting is amazing and the characters are really believable.

Good film, up until the end. The last death was disappointing. A lot of faffing.

A good movie, it is not my usual type of movie but I enjoyed it, if the pace of the movie was a little faster I would have given it four stars. As usual great acting performance from Christian Bale, but Woody Harrelson really stepped up in this movie. Right from the first scent you can feel bad intentions off him right through the screen.

Russell Baze, is the brother that does everything right he work in a dead-end job without any complaints, good to his girlfriend, he looks out for his younger wilder brother Rodney Baze he is handy round the house, and even visits his sick father. So of course he is the brother who ends up in jail which ends his relationship. Rodney has meanwhile completed a couple of tours in the army. Released Russell simply goes back to work, Rodney is determined not to end up in a go nowhere job, turns to illegal bare knuckle boxing. Frustrated by the nickel and dime fight he asks for a big money fight hosted by a deep Southern drug lord Harlan DeGroat (Harrelson). When Rodney does not come back, the police force seems unable to do thing Russell takes over. This is dark intense movie but just a little slow for me.
