Considering its age, this is a very engaging movie. Despite a slow start, the story unfolds and does a great job of weaving the plot in with the fascinating lifestyle and traditions of the Sami People (I share some of their ancestry), this adds a further dimension to the story. Typically, many movies of this era avoid exposing us to the day to day lifestyles and traditions of other people, albeit with actors who are not of Sami origin; (key exceptions are Western Movies with Native Americans), when they do, it is often not done well. This is what makes this movie a little gem, great to see Jack Warner and Christopher Lee (albeit briefly)

This is not the ordinary Jack Warner film. Anyone who has been to Northern Sweden or Norway will enjoy this story. It really shows how the Sami people were treated.

Great to see Jack Warner, who was at one time almost a British institution. Given the age of the film, the footage of the Sami way of life is well done but the plot and the footage really are ill-fitting combinations. The idea of a British copper legging it across Lapland in pursuit of a criminal who would clearly be the focus of MI5 is a trifle far-fetched. However, willing suspension of disbelieve is a great thing and the film was enjoyable.

Jack Warner the police dectective assisned to the case. John McCallum a scientist created a magic steel recored disc which could be used and cause damage and destruction. His wife is supposed to be loyal and they are happily married. He left a key in a book to put on the top of his bookshelf at home. No one is meant to know about expect one close friend and colleague. It's stolen and the police investigate, Christopher Lee being one of them too. His wife and colleague are under suspicion, they head for the mountains with Laplanders . They have to fight the wolves off and the eagles aid them in order to kill them. A good film of loyality or trust. Close relationships happen to survival in the snow.
