This lad has a damned fine voice. There's no doubt about it. In certain
moments I'd go as far as saying it's astonishingly good. Listen up people!
Gareth Daley hails from Manchester. His debut album 'Those Who Wait'
was released in 2012 as a digital download only and flew straight under
my radar. I'm catching up now and recommend his first offering to you
unreservedly, if only to hear the blissful title track and a smile-worthy
rendition of Madonna's 'Like A Virgin'; a delightfully cheeky confection.
With 'Days & Nights' we find Mr Daley in even finer fettle. His voice rides high
on the stave and sports an astonishingly precise but soulful falsetto. It's a
wonderfully flexible instrument demonstrating the kind of daring and spontaneity
which can only come about through the possession of innate musicality.
There are a dozen numbers in the set and not a bad egg in the box.
Pick of the crop would have to include the dreamy opening track 'Time
Travel', a gorgeous composition, effortlessly performed; 'Good News',
another stunner which delights in its affectionate nods and winks to
Phillly Soul and 'Alone Together' a sultry duet with Marsha Ambrosius.
(His classy take on Ms Armatrading's 'Love and Affection' also deserves applause).
A major new talent. The bright lights beckon for Mr Daley methinks.

I first heard Daley on YouTube and was blown away by this unassuming guy with the red hair. I wanted to hear more, know more. I then discovered that Daley was actually from the same part of Manchester where I live and, the affection was sealed. A MAJOR new talent, his vocal range and delivery is up their with our great 'new' soul singers, Maxwell, Alicia Keys etc. His track Look Up, is a flowing glorious rendition that makes the hairs on my neck stand up and my legs weak.. Daley is the smooth operator, flawless and majestically talented. The world has needed Daley for a long time. I hope that he doesnt only make it big, but that he conquers and shows that hard work, unequalled talent and of course that Mancunian 'edge' has come home to rest and is here to stay. Brilliant Daley!

Daley, what can I say!? The talent Daley has, he has in buckets! The UK has produced a clearly very unique and gifted singer, with traits of George Michael but also with a voice that is from now but is also quite futuristic! If you want Soul, R&B, Heartbreak or Life
Daley will have a song that can be your soundtrack.

Bought first album, but this is just out of this world, I screamed with joy when I listened to his cover of Joan Armatrading's 'Love and Affection', I grew up listening it and never thought anyone would sing it almost better than the original...TALENT right here. Love love love this album...highly recommended
