Gorgeous and affordable tipple from the centre of Speyside.

Gorgeous and affordable single malt. Very drinkable with a taste often described as honeyed....just about sums it up. For me it evokes Autumn....honey, dried fruit, fresh fruit!....the aroma of a fruit store as the autumn mists begin to roll in. A beautiful, complex and evocative whisky from a distillery in the centre of Scotland's finest whisky distilling area. Perfect warming dram for Autumn and Christmas with its emphasis on rich fruit and spice. I never got chocolate from it until recently when I left a poured dram alone for 15 minutes and then took a sip, and there it was, a huge taste sensation of really rich dark chocolate...incredible and really took me by surprise. A really fine dram. The bottle is class, heavy thick glass that feels like a decanter.
